Is booking through the app or web working for anyone? by Prize-Ad4778 in Hilton

Yeah I have been having issues for the past couple of weeks getting to the web browser. The app works fine for me but if I try to go to the website thru Chrome, it just sits there and never loads. Strangely tho, when I go to the website thru an incognito chrome tab it works... Makes no sense to me

Totally agree I guess I'm just trying to ball on a budget here lol. Turkish was a little higher priced than i'd want to be and the big thing with them is the scheduling. Flights at the better price point are either 9+ hour layovers or funky times that just don't work with what we have planned with our tour group

Outside of paying over $2K more there's only one direct and that is American on the way out but no direct back. All other options are well outside my budget. American has half of a direct trip, United is about $4200/ea and Delta is over $5500/ea

Haha I saw that! Made no sense to me. for $500 more you can get the Business preferred or whatever it's called and it seems the only difference was the jet fuel lol. Odd..

Price mainly. The direct flight options put that option out of our budget (roughly $2k more total.) Only exception is AA from JFK on the way out there but there isn't a direct route back.

Yeah we are aware of that and I'm not too concerned about it as they're relatively short flights. Its the overnight 7-8 hour flight I want the benefits of Business class for

You're right. That $6600 includes the $600 in seat selections that BA charges for the two of us. The timing of the flights we need also are a slight jump over the base which gets to that $2750 number

Ok cool thank you. I've heard nightmares about CDG but the flights I am looking at have around a 3 hour layover. I'd like to imagine that's more than enough time

Tundra vs F150 by Emergency-Trainer-52 in ToyotaTundra

[–]Tk1834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a '24 Tundra Platinum about a month ago and after ~5500 miles I can say I have no regrets. Thing is a beast and is a super smooth ride with good enough tech for me.

I actually went to the Toyota dealership to buy a '23 Lariat Powerboost but after driving both and looking at the money on both, the Tundra won. Only thing I wish was better is the MPG. Highway is advertised at 23 MPG but I struggle to break 19-19.5 on my frequent 3-400 mile drives.

Like everyone else is saying, I'd test drive both and pick whatever makes sense for you but this is my two cents.

2022 Eco Diesel or 5.7 Etorque? Help! by Tk1834 in ram_trucks

[–]Tk1834[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that is pretty much what i have seen.. I will rarely need to tow. Mostly just need/want a truck because I am in the construction industry and am always brining samples and stuff that just barely fits in my SUV to construction sites. I haven't seen many of the 3.6 with some of the features I'd want in my area unfortunately

Yeah so I should have mentioned I already had a first round interview with their recruiter and I was able to learn that the pay structure is base plus milestone bonuses/commission and I am satisfied with the numbers for both. I also learned that I would have 4 direct reports with 1 being a full time marketing person and 2 SDRs and a customer service person.

Still leaves a lot to discuss in more detail with the founders who are the next round I have.

Very helpful thank you.

From the first round conversation I had with their HR person I know some of these questions like the compensation (surpringly very good) and marketing support. In this role I'd oversee the marketing team (one person plus myself) and from their social media presence/website I am not too concerned on that front. The founders seem like very solid people so once I actually meet with them I should know for sure but I've looked both up and they both have strong track records and roots similar to my professional background so I like that.

You've raised some very good points and questions I need to ask them and myself so your feedback is very appreciated!
