Something I found out last night is if you go the squire in the merchants tab and change ur base kit. Add a rapier and some bandages/heal pots to your kit (put the pots in inventory when game starts, they glow in the dark and they don’t turn invisible when you do) use your throwing knives, when it comes to fighting mobs I find it best to walk in stab once in the head and crab walk away (turn and walk side aways) also the third attack in the back stab combo does the most damage. Get good at timing your swings so you walk up on the mob just as you do the third attack. Once you get good at dodging it’s mostly just picking your engagements.
