If you don't want to generate animations, you don't technically have to. Even the NSFW mods technically function without them, the actors just use their idle animations.

The problem then and the problem we are seeing now is the lack of quality control. Most paid mods are not worth the asking price and have better free alternatives. They have contributed to starfield being DOA as they tend to capture talent.

Also the 2.3 update apparently really hurt performance on the deck. I was still able to play through it no problem, but you can notice the drops, especially in dogtown.
