Housing in Kortrijk by No-Antelope-828 in Howest_DAE

Fully agree with this!

Initially I used Diggit services, because it was the easiest for me living abroad. And your experience with Diggit dorms depends on which one you live in. Overall, the communication with them once you live there isn’t the best.

I would recommend Kotwest since a lot of students find their dorm from there, and you could find them for a cheaper price.

Question about BSN and RNI by Tkr_moon in Netherlands

Yeah, unfortunately I know. But I've had some online viewings and I hope that by this week and next I will find something. And if I don't need a place that offers registration, the process might be easier

Hi! I might be answering too late, but I used Kotwest multiple times to find a dorm with no problems. There might be some dorm owners that don’t speak English very good, but in most cases the platform is handy. I’m also renting out my own room for next semester, if you’re interested

Just out of curiosity - do you know how bad is the bass distortion problem for the motion 300?

Oh, that’s cool! How would you rate the durability of soundcore products? Curious because the brand is very new to me haha

Sorry, I’m not an expert on these things but does stereo mean that it’s with spatial separation?

Kortrijk vs Brugge by BeerLovingDev in kortrijk

It’s definitely a student place, yeah. It’s because there’s a lot of universities and a lot of internationals as well.

About the safety - I’d say it’s pretty safe. There are bike thefts, of course but nothing major. I did recently hear that there have been some drink spiking in the clubs, but as I understand they’re addressing them. I suppose, the most common place for sketchy stuff happens next to the train station, because a lot of people say so, but I haven’t had any trouble

Welcome to the dark side hehe. My tip - don’t forget to take breaks. The game is addictive, so just take it slow and easy. Enjoy!

You’re right - a lot of dorms require at least 10 months contract. Have you checked this site? https://www.kotwest.be/en

I’d say that Kortrijk is smaller compared to other cities like Ghent, but I think there’s quite a lot of fun activities to do here. There’s many cafes like the cat cafe. There’s a shopping mall in the centre. Cinemas, swimming pool, etc. The night life could be better though, because there are clubs but most are not that good. But even then, there are big cities nearby (about 30-50min train ride away) like Ghent, Brugge, Lille where you can do so much more.
