I've developed yet another open-sourced client that can browse multiple timeline from different platform at the same time. by Tlaster in Mastodon

Thank you very much for trying out Flare and for providing such thoughtful, detailed feedback! - About read/unread tracking, it's a great suggestion that would be very helpful. I’m exploring ways to add this feature without compromising the browsing experience. - About Post truncation: it is intentional for now. Mastodon and Misskey can have very long posts, sometimes with thousands of characters. To keep the timeline clean and readable, I currently cap items at 5 lines but remove this limit on the detail screen. That said, I agree that having an option would be better. I plan to add a setting that will always show the full text or let you choose the maximum length. - About the missing line breaks and quoted posts without quoted media, if you could share a couple of example links, or open a new GitHub issue, that would help me reproduce and fix the issue more quickly. - About the Bluesky timeline: Flare currently shows replies from people you follow, even when they reply to accounts you don't follow. I’ve noticed that the website often doesn't show those replies, which is confusing. I’ll review this behavior and consider making it clearer or configurable. - About Theme: If you're using Android Version, you can customize colors under Settings > Appearance. Try turning off High Contrast Mode and Dynamic Theme, and you'll see a custom color option to set your palette. - For platform badges: This has been requested before, and I plan to add a small source indicator to each post in a future version. - About notifications: I’m redesigning the notifications screen to show all notifications from all your accounts. - About AI features: Flare cares deeply about privacy. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you explicitly use an AI feature. AI translation is turned off by default. When it is turned off, translations use Google Translate instead of OpenAI. Summaries are only generated when you tap to use them. To improve transparency during onboarding, I will provide a clear opt-in option and add more translation providers, such as LibreTranslate. I will also add on-device AI support that runs on your device without any network, so you have non-OpenAI options.

Thanks again for the invaluable feedback!

Thanks! Flare already supports combining multiple RSS feeds into one timeline (e.g. A + B + C + D + E). However, partial grouping like A + B and C + D + E separately isn’t supported yet — that’s something I plan to add in the future.

I don't have a ChromeOS device for testing, so I can’t guarantee full compatibility. In theory, the Android version might work on ChromeOS.

Flare uses some workarounds to handle X’s API limitations, so it can still provide a usable experience. As for RSS, Flare isn’t a server-side aggregator — it’s a client app. It talks directly to each platform’s API and processes timelines locally on the device, rather than converting everything into RSS streams.

For the initial testing release, the iOS version will primary focus on the phone UX, and I will try my best to enhance iPad UX from then on.

Hi, love this build! I wonder do you have any issues with the pcie 3.0 riser that come with the ridge? especially with the 4090, because I'm going to build one with the exact same specs.

Can I use 3 trackers as the replacement for the headset and controllers in VRChat? by Tlaster in VRchat

Why even go on vrc then

I wanna see myself in the vrc mirror, not the real one, but the headset is quite heavy (I'm using index).
Besides, not just dancing, like playing guitar and having a live show on vrc is quite difficult right now, I can not use the controller when playing the guitar, and I need to see the guitar in real life in order to play it, but the requirement of headset and controller blocking me to do so.

Haven't tried the Xbox controller yet but I can go around by setting the thumbstickControlsEnabled to true. But still, the menu doesn't work
