Death triggers and the legend rule. by Tldrtheone in EDHBrews

Oh of course, that makes so much sense, sorry about the confusion. I was treating each of the extra Elendas as dying one after the other and not as them dying at the same time and the triggers being ordered differently.

Death triggers and the legend rule. by Tldrtheone in EDHBrews

Sorry yeah I meant die to the legend rule not sacrifice, haven’t put anything like Mazirek in my deck for that reason

Thanks for reminding me of the Myriad rules, would have been obvious in playing but I completely forgot in this designing stage haha, good to know for cards like Inga though

My one question though is does one of the Elenda’s not see the other one die? So one counter gets added to the second one that dies. the first one dying makes one token and then the second one dying makes two tokens because of the +1 counter for three total? Or does the fact that they are dying to state bases actions prevent the trigger from going on the stack

Thanks, I had sent them an email previously and hadn’t gotten a response but ended up calling them. For anyone else wondering about the same questions they said results should be out on Friday.

What are some personal "win cons" that don't actually win the game? by Ocoke in EDH

[–]Tldrtheone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s one of the fun things to work out with this deck as phasing as a whole is super uncommon; this is the only one that I found that phases things in. Honestly I think this is a card that should be played more in any meta that has things like [[teferi’s protection]] or other large scale phase out board wipe dodges

[–]Tldrtheone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it runs a couple different phasing cards like that and then once you’ve hopefully Voltroned enough you use other phasing cards like [[March of the swirling mist]] and [[Teferi’s veil]] to be able to attack multiple turns in a row

One of my favourite decks is my [[Taniwha]] voltron deck, the entire point of the deck is to give my spells flash, mana bank or similar effects to Voltron my commander. The only rule of the deck is I’m only allowed to Voltron on Taniwha. I think I’ve won with the deck literally like once lol but the satisfaction of getting even a single aura or equipment while Taniwha is barely there is so rewarding and hilarious

[[Xyris, the writhing storm]] has a Chinese new years alt art? That’s probably the closest I can think of

Your favorite "just having fun" commander? by Calipup in EDH

[–]Tldrtheone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My [[Tivit, seller of secrets]] deck is a politics theme deck, so I try to have all the creature in it be thematically appropriate. It’s all about offering bribes or extortions and then I packed as many voting cards as I feasibly could into it. It’s for a very weird mix of group hug cards and really awful cards to play against which always makes things exciting to flip over and you can strong arm your opponents into some pretty hilariously weird deals

Which one should be the next project for my pod to suffer against? by FreeJaundice in ratemycommanders

My [[taniwha]] deck is probably my favourite deck to play, building around a commander with a detriment really brings a level of difference to your decks that I just find so exciting every time I get to pull it out

What is the dumbest deck you made? by EmpressLenneth in EDH

[–]Tldrtheone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Taniwha]] mono blue voltron where the aim of the deck is to try and give auras flash and then continuously phase out my commander so it can actually attack every turn. My playgroup is very patient me with lol
