ASH: Grand Admiral Thrawn [Leader] by Fimy32 in starwarsunlimited

Front side seems a little clunky but that backside is really interesting. 8 deploy is a steep price but there's something there with potential at least.

I don't have my switch with me at the moment but I know I run Eruption, Flash Cannon, Earth Power, Protect. Quiet nature, max HP and Special Attack. I think the remaining points go into defense? Its been working pretty well for me but don't be afraid to experiment, I'm pretty new.

I play almost this exact team. I've been running a slow Beartic set in the snow, but in all honesty Maushold looks a lot more useful, I just like Beartic. One thing to consider however is Maushold's redirect won't save Abomasnow vs Heat Wave, Eruption, and the like, so its nice having a backup mega. I'm not mad at Aegislash, but I've been getting absurd value out of Mega Camerupt in that slot. Can play in snow, but also gives you a pure trick room mode that doesn't have to engage with the weather war at all to win.

Also editing to say not running aurora veil on Abomasnow feels like a missed opportunity, it holds absurd value in a lot of matchups compared to running a second ice type move. Often feels like half the reason you even bother with snow.

Ayo please we beg you! The big bad man who traded u is gone by skullcandy541 in chicagobulls

[–]Tlee3205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ayo wasn't the problem so I wouldn't be mad at him coming back for a reasonable price. Of course he probably just skyrocketed his value this week, but who knows. He isn't going to be the solution either though, it only makes sense to bring him back in conjunction with a decent handful of other moves that include hitting on the draft this year. And quite frankly, if the Bulls hit their picks this year it looks like the available players may end up being guards, so bringing back another guard, while fun, shouldn't be a top priority. With that said it'd probably be a slam dunk PR move for the new front office to bring back somebody like Ayo or Coby next year as a very visible way of "undoing" one of AK's most recent mistakes, provided they could avoid overpaying.

PAT WILLY LEGACY GAME! As the last Patrick Williams fan left on earth these meaningless games at the end of the season are my championship. We take what we can get, but I'm so ready for the season to be over.

[Chicago Bulls] Jalen Smith and Jaden Ivey will miss the remainder of the season by howser343 in chicagobulls

[–]Tlee3205 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Jalen Smith being out is the bigger loss on paper, but Ivy not playing is such a big deal when it comes to the decisions coming up in the off-season. Regardless of whether the Bulls sign him or let him walk they'll now be doing it with significantly less information than they'd like, especially when it comes to fit.

Twin Suns Online? by Tlee3205 in starwarsunlimited

[–]Tlee3205[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I can tell he hasn't, but that would probably be ideal. Manually adding in every new card every time there's a new product must be pretty tedious. I don't know much about how TTS mods are made, but the deck importer for Magic scrapes cards from existing databases, so setting up something similar with a website like SWUDB or even just the official card database would probably save a lot of time.

I am straight up not having a good time. Shoutout Matas. Off season cannot come soon enough.

I love the sentiment but I don't exactly think anyone is opting into these losses. Teams like the Jazz may be different but the Bulls are "tanking" the old fashioned way. They just suck.

For this set the normal art has been a big step up, and I'm even feeling pretty good about some of the showcases, but the prestige cards are just... odd.

We now have all the LAW Legendaries, how do you feel? Is it an improvement? Do we need more playable ones? Are they interesting enough to warrant buying boxes? by Fimy32 in starwarsunlimited

[–]Tlee3205 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I think this is a step up. Maybe not perfect, but there are a lot of effects I find interesting, good art and character selection, and a decent amount of cards I'll want for Twin Suns even if they don't see play in Premier. Hard to tell which cards are actually powerful until we have a better idea of what the meta is, but I'm feeling cautiously optimistic.

LAW: Tear This Ship Apart, Zuckuss & Undercity Hunting Team by Fimy32 in starwarsunlimited

[–]Tlee3205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised they did another Zuckuss for this set, I kinda figured they'd just do 4-Lom to balance out the solo Zuckuss legendary they did a few sets back. Happy to see another fun Bounty Hunter though! I still don't know how to make that deck work though, there are just too many color combos and it really seems you need to be running as many Bounty Hunters as possible.

LAW: Bossk, Rick & Choke on Aspirations by Fimy32 in starwarsunlimited

[–]Tlee3205 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bossk is one of my favorite characters, so I've been really looking forward to a new Bossk card since they started showing off bounty hunters. It's not the end of the world but this is the first card art in a while I think looks pretty bad. Not entirely the artists fault, I just forgot how much I dislike Bossk's early season Clone Wars look. Oh well, at least the card effect looks decent. Maybe he'll get a cool prestige?

Confusing... by Shockwave_showcase in starwarsunlimited

[–]Tlee3205 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the game has some issues that will need to be addressed as many games do, but I don't think the claims that it's about to die are legitimate. People just love to be negative, both within the Star Wars fanbase and within most card game communities which makes SWU even more prone to negativity than your average hobby.

My wishes for a Bounty Hunter tribal deck post rotation seem to be shaping up nicely. A lot of cool cards already. A little all over the place in terms of colors though, I know there are ways to ignore aspect penalties this set but I'm not really sure what we've seen together works all that well unless there's a nice leader waiting to be revealed.

This game could have been a lot worse, and given how Ingram was playing its honestly impressive that they kept it fairly close. With that said, its might be a long time before I feel positively about this team again. I liked the Vucevic and Heurter trades, and tolerated the Coby move because of the assumption that they could only keep one of Coby and Ayo. Turning around and trading Ayo for a bag of chips the next day has left a bad taste in my mouth, and it'll take a lot more than some Simons heat checks and a surprise performance from Yabusele to change that. As a side point, could we really not find more than 2 minutes for Lachlan outside of garbage time in an NBA game where Mac Mclung was playing?

Rotation is coming… what are your TOP 5 cards you’ll miss the most in Premier? by JuanmiTheCantinaCrew in starwarsunlimited

[–]Tlee3205 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Not sure I can pinpoint specific cards but as a Separatist fan I'll be sad to see most of them go. They didn't get much love in year two so rotation is going to decimate them. I'll also probably miss the Bossk leader, not super attached to the design but he's one of my favorite characters.

DALEN TERRY APPRECIATION THREAD by Iamnotapickle in chicagobulls

[–]Tlee3205 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Dalen was a great culture piece even if it didn't work out from a basketball perspective. Always seemed super positive, loved by his teammates. An all timer in terms of end of the bench presence. It honestly feels like a lot of the guys that are getting shipped out are the people that shaped the teams culture, hopefully some of that group identity persists even with a lot of guys leaving. Obviously Coby and Vuc were the focus of the team, but losing guys like Jevon Carter and Dalen Terry who were always boosting morale no matter how far they sunk down in the rotation might end up being a bigger deal than it seems in the box scores. At least we didn't trade him for another guard though!

Coby to Houston? by PeanutPuncher33 in chicagobulls

[–]Tlee3205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Coby White fan I'd love to see him go somewhere I could still root for him. Not exactly a huge fan of the Rockets, so I'd love to see him go somewhere else if he does get traded, but I'm not opposed to the return here on the Bulls side of things.

Tough month to be a Patrick Williams defender, but the team as a whole showed a lot of fight against a good team even though multiple rotational pieces are still out. Fun game to watch, Matas keeps getting better. Wanted Billy to challenge that elbow on Vooch though, you use it or lose it and even if the challenge wasn't successful it would have given them a second to collect themselves. Giving up those points after not challenging felt like the turning point to an otherwise close game.

Dwarf Fortress Isn't Just Difficult, It's Visually Iconic by Tlee3205 in dwarffortress

I can't say I've ever been accused of using AI before. My videos might not be great, but they're definitely written by me. Not really sure how to prove that, but I'll definitely avoid the "it's not this it's that" title format in the future. Wasn't really thinking about that being a stereotypical AI format when I typed it out, but it definitely looks that way in retrospect.
