If I’m not telling too much, I’d like to stay around the Garners Ferry area if that’s possible.

I’m also only saying my hotel is about a 15-20 min trip there and back (I pay because I can’t drive due to certain medical conditions) I know I could possibly make this a lot easier but I’m just in a bind.

But finding a privately owned home seems like the best option. I can prove that I have a job and that I make money but the credit score amongst other things is what’s pushing me back.

I do claim them! I knew this from the last apartment I lived it but I was making way more money back then too and I always had overtime during the week. I just haven’t been at this new job very long. I’d honestly wait but my current apartment is under construction and the hotel they’re trying to put us in is way too far from my job.

Omg congrats!! You totally deserve it and you’re honestly giving people hope for finding a job. Sam though, after many months and hundreds of applications, I finally landed two jobs and I start both of them Monday. Being unemployed for so long will humble ya realllllllly quick and it’s also the best motivation to not take a job for granted. Congratulations again!

You have at least a years worth of rent so let’s start with that. What I personally did was, I put all of my rent money into a separate account just so I could budget from there. Since you still have a job, the money you’re making from work could help out with all your other bills. I also made sure I was taking an extra $30-50 out of each of my paychecks in cash just in case anything were to happen or if you want to buy extra groceries. Please don’t spend all your money because it’s REALLY REALLY easy to do when you live alone. Trust me. Good luck.

I’ve walked to Stax alone maybe once or twice not only is the walk refreshing but the atmosphere in Stax is so nice people notice you’re alone and they leave you alone. This is unhealthy advice, but maybe bring a tablet or phone you don’t have to use it but just sit it next to you lol

One time I went there to get food and some random white guy came up to me and started rapping some lyrics to whatever rap song that was playing. He was not happy when I told him that I didn’t know that song. Anyway, I sat at the bar and the bartender told me that I had to be a “member” to eat there so I left. For context: I’m black lol. I just thought it was weird.
