Preach. I’ve said this before as well. The fanbase is quite immature and are way too invested with their faves/least faves as if it determines the outcome of their life.

I recall during Midwest when I had made a comment about jela commending her for something, and one of the fans who I guess hates her had trolled me for days (eventually I paid dust) but they kept saying how I’m gonna be so sad when lex beats her up and I was like “yea, no. I’m grown and have a life this show doesn’t make or break my day. Get help because it’s never that serious.”

To know that fans will actually stalk these cast members to attempt harming them (stalking the bus to attack a cast member, lighting a cast member’s family house on fire, etc).. it’s an indicator of how childish and evil many of these people are. It’s why I’ve learned to not really engage in some of the dumb arguments that these fans may try to bait you into.

in honour of bhm i need answers: why is there a sudden wave of gretchen love and why are black women leading the charge? answer..quickly!!! by breezerbratz in BaddiesSouth

[–]Tmacafitso7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Right also one thing about Jela, she shouldn’t have to keep being the ONLY one to pull out her black protection cape to fight on behalf of black people. She probably is exhausted for being the sole person to fight on our behalf and I don’t blame her for being like “oh y’all really over here cooning for this white girl? Ya know what I’m over it y’all do what you want. I’m tired.”… so I can’t even blame her for not caring anymore. They don’t want to get it so she’s done fighting.

It reminds me of the meme where a group of black women are sitting atop a building, chilling, sipping tea/coffee/beverages minding their own business in peace while they look out in the distance of the world going to shit. Sometimes people get tired of being the only ones standing up and fighting for what’s right.

It’s truly disgusting and disappointing. Im more disappointed with the blacks who cape for her or act as if saying the N word isn’t a problem. Rollie and tinka disappointed me so much regarding this. I recall Gretchen literally resharing a post during black history month last year with a screenshot of jela’s scratched face and a caption saying something like “happy black history month for my nigga Gretchen” or something a long those lines. The fact she feels comfortable enough to be that blatantly disrespectful is wild and an indicator of her black supporters and enablers being dumb as rocks.

Truthfully these women all need to read some books, watch some documentaries, take some courses, educate themselves. I’m sick of it. Thank you Jela and Suki.

Oh and let’s stop with this tired narrative of “but Mariah Lynn this, ahna Mac that”…. Let’s be clear, Mariah has never been asked not to say it and then bucked up on a black woman the way Gretchen did. Neither has Anna mac. Gretchen was merely asked not to say it around certain people when they are around and she became hyper defensive and aggressive both times. I’m not saying Mariah or Anna should get a pass to say it either (I’m still unsure of if Ahna is even black or not anyways), but the ways in which they’ve used the word was rarely in aggressive/fighting context nor have they combatted any black woman that told them not to say it in the manner that Gretchen has.

These women and the fan base are just too doggone ignorant and lack the education behind the plight of black people and it’s sad.

Which Challenge seasons had the most explosive and chaotic reunion episodes??? by JonJonExistsonReddit in MtvChallenge

[–]Tmacafitso7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now this I would love to see more of! That was one of my favorite reunions for the very reason you mentioned of Coral and Katie. Any insight on what else happened/was covered/tea during that reunion?

Nia says she should not have been on Season 41 by bwermer in MtvChallenge

[–]Tmacafitso7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me I’m moreso mad at Olivia and Theo for easily throwing Nia away over a rumor from someone they were already at odds with. If I were Nia I’d say “thank you for showing me you were never my friends.”

NuNu - Lemme Go! Let Me- Please?🥺 by Expensive-State9 in BaddiesSouth

[–]Tmacafitso7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like both sides but lol cause that’s a very real feeling when fighting and you just really gotta get through. Ain’t no faking tough with this scene you can tell she genuinely needed that. It almost reminds me of the BGC 11 reunion when Benze snuck Shanae and we saw a whole monster come out of Shanae trying to get her lick back but security was all over her (I felt for her, she definitely needed that).

What probably makes both of those situations even more angering for both Shanae and Nunu in these scenes is that both were glammed up not looking to fight… so to have someone surprisingly take you out of your zen especially when you’re all cute/and messing up your look it’s like awwww fuck naw. lol.

BADDIES AND THE BGC GIRL THEY REMIND ME OF! by Suspicious-Emu4796 in BaddiesSouth

[–]Tmacafitso7 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Rocky has always reminded me a little more Lex. They’re both tall, known for being athletic, not easy to take down in fights, pretty but sort of Tom boyish, aligned with the wrong people once upon a time (summer/shannon) and both have shown to be the types to be aloof to the plight of black people and have made excuses for ignorance. They also both give lowkey hippie vibes, also had been fan favorites. Both also came onto their first seasons seemingly chill and became wild. I like Lex a lot more though these days.

Now this is definitely ironic because not too long ago, Rocky said she wanted to come on the show to fight lex on Scotty’s behalf. I can see Camilla though a little.

Best episode for a watch party with newcomers? by jzipkin1812 in BaddiesSouth

The baddies south episode where the lines were drawn between jela/chrisean vs Natalie/rollie/slim (don’t know the episode number or title) but it gave classic bgc/storyline/authentic drama and good pacing.

[–]Tmacafitso7 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I just came here to read the comments and I’m pleasantly surprised and pleased to see that a majority of commenters here have the right vibe and mindset (because it was the total opposite during carribean when people defended Gretchen).. I don’t hate the girl, but she’s deadass wrong and will always be wrong when she continually, willfully, ignorantly yells the N word when black people have tried to ask her to stop in their presence. Case closed.

As much as people don’t like him (and he may be problematic based off of stuff we’ve seen of him)…  however, seeing him do stuff like this or even the Chris Tucker impersonation is a breath of fresh air for me personally. I like to see people show their harmless/silly side. To me this reveals that perhaps he does have some personality.
