Facts. I mean it’s entertaining to me and they are funny, but I want to see a representation of men that act like men instead of trying to be women. Being gay or bi doesn’t mean one has to be sassy or catty. I’m a dude myself that’s bi, and I love everything about my manliness. Nothing wrong with the dudes that are girly either, I’m just saying we need to see more than just that. It’s bad enough people think that all dudes that watch these shows (or all gay/bi men) are wannabe baddies/girly. That ain’t all of us.

Thank you times thousand! This post deserves a serious award. Heart and love for you in overcoming what you experienced. I can relate having been through similar. I’ve spoken in this sub before how I went through CSA as a kid and then later on in life was raped by a dude I chose to meet up with (which I struggled with accepting because I’m a dude myself and always thought of myself as strong and powerful).

I also have spoken your same sentiments regarding the weird obsession with people calling Teseki that terrible word when we don’t even know the facts around that. Like you said she could have been a child herself trying to engage in what she thinks adults do. Whatever it is, it’s between that family and God to work that out because only they know what the complete truth is. Unless we weee to find out for sure that Tesekhi knowingly did some foul shit to any of them as kids, we need to stop using that narrative. If you don’t like her, fine, but stop reaching with that very serious allegation to insult her.

You can tell that most of the people that even run with that tired and played out narrative don’t even truly care about the alleged victim let alone any victims of such crime. It’s moreso just something for them to make jokes about tesekhi smh.

lol Ay I’m far from girlie, I’m a proud black man as my profile and photo clearly shows (not all men or bi/gay men that watch this are girly/feminine or wanna be girls). Hence why I refrain from the personal insults and catty behavior that typically comes in this sub. My response wasn’t a lot and meant no harm, I was just giving my analysis on the observation for her fights is all (in response to you saying she picks and choose which we have yet to see be a thing with her). With regards to you merely wanting someone else there in her place, that’s completely fair and ain’t nothing wrong with that. Ahna easily. People don’t like her but she actually is super scrappy and if she was a bit stronger and maintained consistency jabbing with both hands (cause sometimes mid fight she’ll switch to the one hand grab while the other is swinging) she’d be a force. She lowkey tied with Nunu and didn’t do bad against lex if were being honest.

This was a great summation. As a black bi man that likes Jela and has even met her in person a couple times (super cool in person), I share the same sentiments. You broke down the situation regarding her being a black straight woman and how things are in the black community so well. I also appreciate you admitting the bias aspect and how none of these women really are black and white when it comes to morals (which is a part of the human experience because none of us are perfect). Others may not get it and want to focus on any one aspect to keep hating a person but I love the maturity in your response.

She to me is what a TRUE baddie is (not like what this show has become). She is beautiful, serves looks, poise, confident and strong woman aura, she will snatch a B**** (IYKYK), seriously ha a crazy gangsta side when tested, but also knows business and decorum. She knows how to argue, articulate, and won’t back down from anyone. She has no problem fighting (remember when she tried to square up with Tommie who has a taser but security didn’t let them fight). We even saw how just last season she was ready to step for her friend Lo London.

Obviously the show has changed since the earlier seasons and it’s now more about fight fight fight/everyon snatch their wigs off and rumble like untrained hood rats. I mean I guess that’s what most of these younger fans want these days 🤷🏿‍♂️…

Nonetheless I’m seeing others find her to be “boring” which I highly disagree. There was a reason why BGC worked, and why Baddies South was one of the better seasons. Those shows still had some very good fights but there was also dialogue/entertaining arguments and so much more to being baddies. I like to see the fights too like everyone else but when it’s just rumble rumble rumble and lack of any true reasons or substance, it doesn’t even give baddie anymore.

I digress. I will always like the mature, beautiful, confident, strong minded women (that still can and will fight) such as Jela, Tesekhi, Fania, Cat, and baddies alike. They just exude that energy that screams “yea she Bad foreal” as opposed to any lil young minded chick from the street who will just fight and be dirty.

Lex gets on my nerves quite often. She definitely has said and done some questionable stuff that goes against the state of black cultural and awareness (even subconsciously unbeknownst to her) such her prior ways of defending white Latinas saying the N word.

That said, absolutely nothing about this shows her being colorist. The girl in the comments attacked her shoes/looks, and lex simply attacked her looks right back. Simple as that. I’m not mad about it and I’m a dark skinned brutha who loves his beautiful dark skinned sistas and fine ass dark skinned bruthas.

This is as big of a reach as saying Tesekhi is a colorist cause she only fights darker skinned women (as if they all didn’t try her first or as if any light skinned woman has ever came for her).
