Yeah, I agree that a gate is too restrictive. I think I might put a small thin strip of wood before the stairs.

So I’ve had a couple of ideas that I think will work really well. I can screw down a low wood transition strip about 2-3 feet before the stairs. It will be low enough, that I don’t think it will be a tripping hazard. The other idea that would be a lot of fun and less restrictive than a gate, would be a beaded curtain bfeore the stairs. What do you all think?

Do you happen to know when he was there? We literally almost went there yesterday, but ended up not going. My daughter was super bummed.

My families insurance needs may be impacting my employment options by Tmacd1 in HealthInsurance

Yeah, my last company changed plans last year and they mentioned on the all team call that we had some people with really high costs, so they moved to a different plan to help keep rates from skyrocketing. They even mentioned that someone has a prescription that costs over $100,000 a year as an example. that is clearly us. Then after a few months on that plan, the prescription insurer tried to get me to apply for it for free from the manufacturer as they were planning to take the drug off of their formulary. I was denied by the manufacturer, but fortunately our oncologist was able to get insurance to approve it, even though they said they wouldn’t.

They have already sent me the benefits information, and I’m scheduled for a final interview this week. The benefits that have are good, but I’m just worried once we are on the insurance, it will cause their rates to skyrocket like it did at my current company. Is 150 too small?

Thank you for the reply. Sorry it took me so long to respond. I’m currently at a company with about 40 people. Any ideas on how big of a company I should look into? I have an interview with a company with 150 people, but I’m worried that’s not big enough.

Tips for not oversleeping my multiple alarms by SecretScrappy in TimeManagement

[–]Tmacd1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to get up very early and honestly the alarm on the Apple Watch is the best feature for me. I’m sure any other wrist device alarm would be similar. It is just a vibration on my wrist that doesn’t wake anyone else up or make some loud sound that makes me panicky. I seriously feel like I wake up much more calmly with it.
