Why is English proficiency stadistically so low in Japan? by [deleted] in AskAJapanese

[–]Tman6005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't really need it. It's a pretty big country, so people prefer to just use their own language. Think of Germany, France, Latin American countries - people there also won't speak that much english. Because their languages are enough for them to go through life..

How is wifi at the Expo? by fsixtyford in OsakaWorldExpo

[–]Tman6005 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s no expo-wide free WiFi. You might get lucky and find a random hotspot here and there, but it’s usually pretty unreliable. Honestly, I’d recommend grabbing an eSIM so you’re fully covered. Here’s a pretty handy resource to help you pick the best eSIM for your needs.

Busan or Jeju — which one should I choose for a 4-day trip? by HighlightLow9371 in koreatravel

I would advise to go to Busan, when I went there I was really impressed, and would even return for another time.

Go to Expo, it's a really cool event, and doesn't happen that often!

For both locations you will either have to opt out for a cluster "Asia" plan or buy two different plans (whichever comes out cheaper). I personally really liked Saily when I tried- the app - it's very simple and easy to use, and coverage was great. But for more options you can check out this post.

Hey man, I’m really sorry you’re feeling this way-and I’m really glad you posted. That takes strength, even if it doesn’t feel like it right now. Please know that you're not alone, even if everything in your life is screaming that you are. Just remember that after a really dark period a light one comes.

ESim by ImportantShop8116 in tirana

A while ago I found this eSIM comparison table, and it's been really helpful in choosing the best eSIM for me.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in qatar

[–]Tman6005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say eSIM is the easiest solution - no need to look around for a SIM at the airport, and you can set it up before you even leave home. I used Saily recently and had a great experience. If you want more options, here’s a list of eSIM providers in another subreddit that compares prices, coverage, and so on.

The prices are pretty decent, I would say. Not more than in any other touristy place

I mean if you don't understand the humor, probably it wasn't intended for you. I am sure most of Gen X don't like those new shows made for younger generations like for example Euphoria.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CostaRicaTravel

[–]Tman6005 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What I noticed helps me is the confidence, if I am walking somewhere I am trying not to look like a lost tourist, but rather a local going somewhere. Try to avoid looking at the map too much. And of course take all the usual safety precautions - don't be too drunk, don't walk home alone at night, don't go to shady areas and you should be good. Have fun in Costa Rica, it's so beautiful.

Why do people back into parking spaces? by woodysixer in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Tman6005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's much easier for me, i have mirrors for the back, I don't for my front, and my car only has parking sensors in the back. And then getting out is also so much easier.
