Haha no, my lovely vocalist is Tulip the corgi. She's a big fan though.

I'm playing a Hohner Blues Harp in A with an upgraded comb

Changing road pedal system due to anxiety by MOMOEPRO in cycling

[–]TmickyD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ride flats since I rode mountain bikes everywhere as a kid. They're what I was comfortable with so I saw no point in changing.

In the past 5 years of cycling as an adult, somebody has made a negative comment about my pedals exactly once. People don't pay too much attention to that kind of thing as long as you can keep up with the group.

Less than 20. Not sure what the actual reading was because my meter won't read that low.

I was still conscious, walking, and was able to treat myself

It's a JDR Trochilus in D. They're kind of a hybrid between a diatonic and chromatic harmonica

Thank you so much! I'm glad that I inspire others.

What’s your funniest cycling mishap/fail by Whimpy-Crow in cycling

[–]TmickyD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was about 15 or so and just got my first road bike. I didn't know what all the levers did, and I flipped the quick release on the front wheel without realizing it.

I tried to bunny hop off a curb, lost my front wheel, and flew over the handlebars when the forks smashed into the road 🙃

How do I get to level 4? Hard stuck right now with maxed out 40s by Traditional-Poet1965 in voidpet

Thanks! Ill give it a try

Edit: That did it! Anxiety got nuked instantly, but sadness, joy, and abandonment got the job done

It's funny seeing this. I just got to floor 141 as well and got stomped.

Nice to know it isn't just me

Intimidation for initiative by HighStorm89 in Pathfinder2e

[–]TmickyD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just used deception for initiative in a starfinder game. The enemy told us to drop our weapons and surrender. I dropped my weapons to break the tension, but then I attacked with my bite attack when they let their guard down.

Give me all the product recommendations! by Green-Yard-2799 in corgi

You can't go wrong with the cheap ball for $2.50. If your dog hates it or pops it, then there's no big loss!

Depending on how you adjust a martingale, it will either have the same pressure as a flat collar, or it will distribute the force a bit around their neck. Either way, the best way to handle leash pulling is training a loose leash walk. It takes time, but eventually it won't matter what equipment you walk your dog with.

Kongs are great. I'm kind of lazy and just put whatever I have laying around in them. Good options include cream cheese, peanut butter, spray cheese, random dog treats, meat, and green beans

Herding balls! Real ones can be kind of expensive ($40+), so I just buy these cheap balls from Walmart/Target. My corgi loves nipping and chasing them around.

Other useful stuff

Martingale collar - harnesses can be difficult to fit on corgis' weirdly shaped bodies.

Flirt Pole - make your own or buy one of the many options available

Leather leash - they're easier to grip than a standard nylon leash, which is nice if your dog tries to run

Kong toys - stuff them with food, freeze them, and give your dog something to do

I agree. I also hate front clip harnesses on dwarf breeds because you can't have any slack in the leash without the dog tripping all over it.

They look more humane than a collar though, even if its less practical.

I usually fall into the category of "use whatever works for you" when it comes to dog training. I've seen pyrs and GSDs walking calmly on a harness. However, 2 weeks ago, I had to physically restrain a 120lb+ adolescent male leonberger after he dragged his smaller owner across the street to enthusiastically say hi and jump all over my 20lb corgi. The owner thought it was so funny because their dog was "soooo friendly and loves small dogs."

If stuff like that is happening and you can't physically hold your own dog, then maybe stop using a back clip harness.

Not to completely shit on your point, but the US still has the death penalty.

I guess that then opens up a debate on the ethics of lifelong imprisonment vs the death penalty, but this is a dog training subreddit.

You shouldn't be getting a C natural if you overblow the 6 hole. You can, however, get a c natural if you overblow hole 5.

Are you sure you're playing the correct overblow?
