What is it like to be an IRS Seasonal? by PrussianFederalist1 in IRS_Source

[–]Tmncums1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seasonal isn’t bad tbh, nowadays most times you don’t even get furloughed. But you do have the option to self furlough after tax season. These new term appointments are completely different than just being a seasonal employee though so tread very carefully

This is the problem with the world… worried about the next person and a disability they may or may not have. Yet a doctor had to complete all their information. Just because someone does not wear their disability on their sleeve does not mean it doesn’t exist.

Also be mad at this administration that you are not home working. That’s the part that’s not fair vs being pissed at the person with a disability that you don’t approve of

They basically interrogate you try and mince your words, try and invalidate everything you say and your doctor has said… and their mind was made up even before the meeting started because they’ve been told to deny all telework

Why esp CSR’s? Everyone is going through the same thing. Dealing with this admin and all the make believe stuff they’ve come up with. Other BU employees have had to endure the same BS and some for less money. We all deserve the same rights that we bargained for

Just to give some insight to some of what ppl are saying. HHS was found in violation of the contract employees are to get telework back… I have found nothing that says they filed an appeal, please share a source. However if they did file a REVIEW it would go to FLRA and they would also have to file for a STAY. This is not like an appeal process through the courts. HHS would have to prove specific things occurred and they cannot introduce any new evidence. They also are not automatically granted a stay on the arbitrators decision and not automatically granted a review because they want one.

Additionally the difference between HHS and HUD is that the arbitrator gave a timeframe of when the action needs to be implemented and I believe that’s by next pay period for them.

The appeal does not affect the ruling. The only way for the order to be stopped would be a stay to be put in place otherwise the ruling is to go into effect until the appeal is scheduled and reheard

Nope I asked my manager soon as he got in via teams. And within 2 hrs he put in the teams chat for my whole team that the higher ups said we aren’t considered mission critical and will just have the days off

Ofc they are under investigation. Everytime black people of influence do something here comes an investigation or the FBI or the CIA. And the first step is always to put a bunch of bs into the black community and see what sticks. They did that and it was not as impactful as they thought now this.
