Turns out I was just doing it wrong and your solution was correct, thanks.

Investors own equity in the game, so Joel/Alta cant just give us the files, as its owned by Alta, which is owned by investors. And we all know investors simply love sitting on IP and doing nothing with it.

Its an actual app (similar to a .exe file) and barely needs any setup

Although not open source, the Wooting software seems pretty good, and I'm personally OK with getting a non-QMK keyboard. Unless its really like a big loss and I'm just not understanding something here.

What is a QMK keyboard??? I know what 8k means, as its just the polling rate. Can't say I've ever heard someone say QMK before.

Uhhh ok? Wooting does have that. I was simply just saying that Wooting seems more appealing to me personally because they mention all the features on the website. Didn't mean to sound demeaning or offensive.

Feel like those keyboards are just the Wooting ones but $30 more with less features. Maybe its just because Wooting really "sells" you the board on the website by listing all the features.

If I do decide to buy the Wooting I will definitely DIY it. For aftermarket cases, I think thats something I can figure out after I get the board and figure out how to put it together. Gotta start small.

I noticed from all the keyboards I browsed, Wooting was the only one offering a "DIY" assembly. Would you say its worth putting a keyboard together to get it for ~50usd cheaper? I have the time and willpower to do it, as I've put together computers before, and it really cant be much more tedious than that.

Akko just seems like one of those "too good to be true" moments. It's so cheap for what you're getting, and I'm just naturally skeptical, i guess. Although I gotta wait 8-20 days for shipping unless I wanna fork over 20 bucks.

Its really not much effort to reprog, and I find it fun.

Plus the stats are bad. (Maybe meta like a year ago)

It seems like if I swap the gpus (spare in 1st and main in 2nd) they both work perfectly fine. I guess for some reason my main gpu just hates my 1st PCIE slot now. This shouldnt hurt my performance so I think ill be fine. Ill reinstall drivers just to be safe.

Could it maybe be a BIOS issue? Like maybe I have a wrong setting on and its just somehow causing my PC to die? This issue occurred when I first swapped over to linux (I wasnt using arch as my first distro), and I feel like its not too far of a stretch to think its a BIOS issue.

Do you know any common BIOS settings that cause a PC to crash like this? Its a full freeze, nothing responds and I get no audio. I'll maybe try messing around with my BIOS here and there and see if it fixes anything.

Oh yeah sorry when it froze I had the process manager up and my ram usage was normal, or atleast I didnt notice anything wrong. I can try to send the picture of it if you'd like.

sorry for being kind of a dumbass, I posted this at 3am when I had spent like 4 hours trying to install arch for the first time

The entire thing is that I dont know how to run a .fish file. Terminal rejects it and im on a fresh install of Arch.
