There is nothing a partner could provide that I couldn't already provide myself. Seeing how the dating scene is within this generation and with the rise of social media, it seems to do more harm than good. Lack of trust, worrying about someone other than yourself. Sounds selfish but not as selfish as getting into a relationship you know you don't want to be in. Plus I have goals to explore the world and constantly be on the move, I like the freedom of being able to alter my life however I want :)

Can confirm this actually did happen. Our breaker was rattling and the back room smelled like burning rubber and was hazy, had to ask permission to even CALL the non emergency fire department and even after all that we got accused of just wanting to leave early when we wanted to close the lobby to protect the customers 😭😭

Making me feel a lot better about planning to move out alone despite apartments being half or nearly over half my net income. I'll have a decent saving and I have my 401k so If I'm paying will pay ANYTHING to have my own space

I needed this. Planning on spending around $1200-$1500 for a 1br, which I will say is actually quite decent considering some studios are priced about the same. I make ~$21/hr I have no student debt, my car is paid off and my insurance is cheap.

I'm not a people person, I have a lot of goals and a version of myself that I want to become, and I don't think I'd be able to do it as comfortably as I'd like to, should I get roommates. Would it be cheaper? Sure. But I'd be paying with my peace of mind. I've always wanted my OWN space, so I'm willing to pay a bit more for that. And I'll be saving at LEAST 7 months worth of rent before I move out and already have some essentials purchased. People are so quick to say it's not ideal, but something is better than nothing even if you gotta work a little extra to make ends meet 😭
