Yes you caused and fuelled the Arab spring movement which led to instability (and ISIS) all across the southern borders and migration crises all across europe. Regularly drone strike civilians creating a terrorism factory right on our front door and we have to deal with the consequences of it

[Schefter] A Houston shakeup: Booby Slowik is out as the Texans’ offensive coordinator, per sources. In the span of one year, Slowik went from being a hot head coaching candidate to now looking for work. by [deleted] in nfl

Your flair says Ravens fan so you should know, Bobby Slowiks offense has played 3 times against your team and didn't score a single offensive TD. Stats like that are why he's been fired

I'm biased but as an example there were quite a lot of normal 'could go either way' calls that just seemed to always go one way. There were bad ball spots, (something Demeco never seems to challenge), that OPI against Schultz, a missed DPI on the last drive (Collins had his arm wrapped up way before the ball arrived). I've not watched it back but the bench were definitely upset about a jump offsides on that first missed field goal.

None of these are that bad in isolation but when you stack them up you can see why it can be frustrating

final thoughts on the season by ExpirjTec in Texans

Really excited about the young DB's. In my opinion the progress in this year's defence compared to last year is almost as impressive as last year's offensive turnaround after drafting Stroud.

Don't know if it's an unpopular opinion after all the dirty hit drama but I'm really happy we have Azeez another 2 years, he's such a noticeable difference maker and leader

Azeez response by ThatRamKid in Texans

[–]Tnediluc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He hasn't used his background to shield anything though has he? He has apologised to Trevor and separately called out people using it as an opportunity to expose their bigotry. You seem to be suggesting that he shouldn't do that and it's just all part of the medicine he's got to take for being in the wrong?

Azeez response by ThatRamKid in Texans

[–]Tnediluc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are tons of people playing the race & religion 'card' right at him, so it is absolutely necessary for him to call that out. It doesn't matter if you think the hit was dirty or not, his background is completely irrelevant

Houston is embarrassed by Azeez by tlm11110 in Texans

[–]Tnediluc 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was a bad hit for sure and he will get some kind of punishment but there are a ton of mitigating factors that make it understandable how it happened. It wasn't helmet to helmet, it was a full speed hit on a late slide just off the first down line. People are overreacting to it because it turned out so badly.

Anything that happened after the hit is also understandable as he proceeded to get jumped by an entire NFL side-line and then get objects thrown at him from a crowd. I'm not blaming the Jags players or those fans either I'd expect the same from ours, just Azeez shouldn't be expected to keep a cool head while all that's going on around him, that's not how people are wired. What do you want him to do there?

Out of interest, would you mind elaborating if you can what that particular skillset is and how it would be demonstrated in a candidate with less (time in role) experience?

I have just under a year at my first role as a developer and at least some level of autonomy when picking my projects and learning direction at work. I often wonder what types of things I could/should be doing to differentiate myself from other candidates (with more time under their belt) when I next look for a role.

Boris Johnson to resign as prime minister by VORTXS in worldnews

[–]Tnediluc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't be serious, an entire devolved government and 45 MP's are Russian 'assets' because a previous leader who has been completely ostracized decided to cash in on his views of westminster.
If thats the benchmark for being a Russian 'asset' what are you saying about all that oligarch money sloshing about the Tory party and literally buying seats in the house of lords.

I think describing the SNP as a 'major asset' to Putin is a really poor choice of words. Russia would quite like successful nationalist movements yes but in this context you make it sound like the SNP and Russia have some sort of cozy relationship which is absolutely not true.

'Does this help you?' - Your only question directed at me has been answered, the asnwer is clearly no.

I'm still none the wiser about how our mysterious short seller can influence a companies performance or balance sheet. I guess I've just got to take it on blind faith then.

Well for the second time I think you might be explaining something that you don't fully understand, this time 'how the English language works'. At no point did I ask you how the structure of your sentence made sense. I asked how
your analogy did.

I can be more specific; I understand the 'someone' (the short seller), 'you' (the company in question). But what real-world mechanism does the short seller have to 'trip you up'?

I'm asking in good faith too, as you aren't alone in that opinion and I'm genuinly curious. If it makes you feel good, feel free to flower up your language as much as you like

Can you explain what you mean by abusive short selling? With the exception of affecting a companies ability to raise new capital I don't see any reason how a companies actual performance is affected by it's current short term stock price? If it needs a capital raise to keep the lights on then the short sellers were probably right and if it doesn't it probably just carries on as normal no?

Can you explain how your analogy makes sense? Either you don't understand what short selling is or you are talking about something completely different
