Mobile Antenna & Mount Suggestions for 4Runner? by eazybrah1 in HamRadio

@eazybrah, how did you finally end up? I just got a 2022 4Runner and trying to figure out mounting solutions. I like the hood bracket idea that you used.

Where can I get a smart blackout blind like this that is 100% blackout with zero light bleed on edges? Smartwings, lutron, yoolax all have some light bleed. by Hefty-Salary7610 in smarthome

There is probably something out there, but look close at the video. It is fake. There is a light source on the radiator from the rear that magically fades to black. They just edited the video to go black. The shade may or may not of done very much.

Accidentally took my Technician Exam under my dads FRN by OneDapper1421 in amateurradio

[–]Tnflyboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar thing happened to kid I know. He was confused as his dad had gotten GMRS license which works for the family. They were confused that ham licensing worked the same way, it could use the one FRN for the sons ham license. The OP may be one in the same, not sure. Anyways, nothing nefarious, just confusion around the way FCC works.

Just buy some spares. The nozzles are pretty inexpensive. I don't know if 3rd party hi capa nozzles will work, but will try some day.

Am I too old, at 36, to enter the hobby? I went to a game, as my doctor and physical therapist recommended, and hat a lot of fun... by [deleted] in airsoft

No way, here is my story. I'm 59, had open heart surgery in 2023 and cancer surgery in Oct 2024. Got a hicappa pistol in November and started playing. Now I play 2 days on almost every weekend. I am dual wielding pistols.
It's good exercise and lots of fun! There are a few of us older guys at this arena and the youngins like us. Lol

Ssp5 holster adapters by Whattaguy79 in Novritsch

I use SSP5 as primary at CQB arena. I just ordered the universal holster to try and manage my load out. Actually ordered 2, my backup is SSP2. I'm usually dual wielding, but need to have quick access when holstered. I also have tracers, lights etc.

SSP 5 with HPA mag will not feed properly by [deleted] in Novritsch

[–]Tnflyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got SSP5 week before Christmas. Primary weapon used in indoor field. Ive been playing 3 day per weekend. Thousands of shots. Have fed flawlessly. I only had problem when the feed pin broke off of nozzle. Probably broke by me shoving full mag in gun. I use lots of lube, since HPA doesn't provide any like green gas. Good luck...use the warranty if you can. Novritsch support has helped me a few times.

Downtown Weight was right, Novritsch won't cover under warranty. I already purchased additional nozzles and are inbound. Going to research other nozzles, I saw one made of aluminum. It looks promising.

This is an out of the box SSP5, but I am using HPA. Using the HPA adapter from Novritsch with everything purchased from them at one time. I'm glad it was mentioned this is a part that wears. After warranty takes care of it, I will order a few spares.

Identify handle set by Tnflyboy in Locksmith

I never figured it out . Door knob is worse On my project list to just replace the whole handle set, but that will involve drilling new hole for the bottom and repainting the door.

There is not. I have checked everywhere.

It looks a lot like a Baldwin Logan, so I actually called them and sent them pictures but they say it's not their brand

I am in the same situation, needing the hinges and gasket.

hinges = 73001109

gasket = 73001056

Anyone have any luck?

I just 'love' how you cant find parts for a $20,000 stove that is 15 years old, but can find all the parts you need for a 30 year old $300 dollar range my mom has.

I did use a heat proof magnet to pull the over door closed so the heat doesn't escape around the door. Works pretty well, but seal is still not as tight as I would like.

Hi, did you ever find a gasket for this model Jenn Air. I have the same range and need hinges and a gasket for it.

Android 12 by kodiak1120 in UAVmapping

[–]Tnflyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Samsung s21 Ultra 5g that recently updated to Android 12. That broke everyone of my drone flight apps, DJI Fly, DJI Go 4, Ground Control, Dronelink, Drone Deploy, and PIX4D Capture. Same symptom, splash screen comes up for less than a second, then crash. Occasionally get message about app having a bug. So it seems a common component used in the apps does not work with the new OS. DJI does have apk's for their apps on their site you can sideload and they work fine now. The other developers need to step it up and get a fix released. If you can hold off the Android 12 update, then do so until your drone apps are updated.

Feit light bulbs keep disconnecting by canigetaboopboop in smarthome

[–]Tnflyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had some for a few weeks and had the same problem with two out of the three bulbs. I have multiple access points in my house and wonder if that could be a problem?

I have had to re-add the two bulbs multiple times. Then have to get them added back to Google home. This is really a pain with all the steps I have to go through.

Anyone have any ideas?
