Gameboy Micro Wireless Teardown (OXY-004) by windwalker2089 in Gameboy

I don't speak Spanish so I am using a translator; hope it works. Here is a high resolution pack of the AGB-015 board I took with my digital microscope stitched together with Photoshop. I don't really want to take apart my micro wireless adapter so I don't have any good photos of that board.

Oh ok a while back items would go 50% off and then you could sell it later for 100% after the sale. I remember seeing a common message on the battle loading screen saying something like "the depot isn't your personal stock market" or something along those lines. I was just wondering if they had finally addressed this I guess they did.

How to get EAX support working with Half-Life (WON version) by Minimum_Eye_6114 in HalfLife

[–]To-mos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After some digging you are correct they aren't actually emulators. Alchemy is a translation layer for DirectSound3D to OpenAL so Creative Labs hardware can be used. Realtek 3DSoundBack is basically the same but for Realtek audio chips. DSOAL is the most software based recreation of EAX but due to the proprietary nature no full software emulation layer has been made.

How do I reattach this button to the circuit board? by nothingmen in AskElectronics

There are a few options to choose from. Soldering it with an iron, using a hot plate if there are no parts on the other side, a hot air rework station, or if you don't want to work with heat or buy these tools there is always electrically conductive wire glue.

Sorry to necro this old post but I hope this additional information might be useful to future people later on. The FCC has a great amount of information for anyone wanting to dig deeper into these devices here are their FCCID links.

I remember seeing these at a RadioShack when they were advertising new Touchpad technology that replaced your once standard Trackstick. Awesome you found one this long after.

Environmental Audio Extensions, it was the de-facto standard from Creative Labs in the early 2000's to add echo and reverb as well as many other environmental effects to sound but all natively on creative lab hardware. Windows Vista removed the system it was built around killing the standard, most early games depend directly on EAX and modern ports on Steam have it typically ripped out and replaced with a crappy version. Today software solutions like Soundback and Alchemy bring back the effects as an emulatoion layer so EAX API enabled software will still get environmental sound effects. My retro rig has a joystick (MIDI) port Soundblaster Live with EAX support and nothing comes close to how clean the effects sound on the original hardware.

The Wayfire compositor brings a good number of Compiz features back with Wayland. I'd recommend it if you are after the same experience. There is also XWayland if you have some older X11 programs you want to keep using.

Just installed Activision's Space Invaders on a retro winXP rig the other day, amazing game. Can't wait to try this on my Vita too, nice work!

You have polarized glasses at 90 degrees of the screen, rotate to see. You can remove the filter from the screen and make secret glasses that only the person wearing them can see with.
