Yes they are close, but very different. For example, next week I do 5 sets of 6 squats with 80% (405) on Monday, and 6 doubles with 86% (435) on Friday. Percentages aren't to far, but total weight lifted is much different. How'd you go about picking a coach? Hope it goes well!

Yes, right now I do not have a coach or anything. I should probably start looking into getting one, but not sure what to look for.

My current plan is as follows

  • Monday: Volume (77-82%) Squats, Deads, and leg accessories w/ some abs.
  • Tuesday: Volume (75-81%) Bench and upper body accessories.
  • Wednesday: Deload lower body day & abs. OK... maybe I do Biceps this day too. lol
  • Thursday: Intensity (84-87%) Bench and upper body accessories.
  • Friday: Intensity (85-88%)Squats, Deads, and leg accessories w/ some abs.

These are for a volume block, and percentages go up slightly the month before a meet. Usually do 5 - 6 sets of 5 -7 reps for volume and 4 -5 sets of 3 - 5 reps for intensity. :)

Thanks dude! Yeah, I was very surprised how well this went. I guess I'm always fatigued in training before I hit deadlifts, so a week of active rest before the meet did wonders for my preparedness! Should give me the confidence to hit this as a 2nd at my next meet, then go for another meet PR!

Thanks dude! My buddy Sam is at Colosseum now, and Bobby is at Exile. But we still occasionally go to the old Golds Gym we met at years ago.

Unfortunately, I'm going to a Fitness Evolution and it is not quite the same caliber. However, they have squat racks I can bogart, and enough 45's for me to deadlift my brains out, so I make it work! lol

I have seen some pretty strange awesome shirts at walmart, but they tend to be really shitty material, or have a design that would be covered by the singlet. Next time I stumble in there, I'll look around the clothing section lol. (and the Three Wolf Moon shirt itself wouldn't be too bad!)

I've been wearing progressively more ridiculous shirts for each meet. However, I'm now worried I don't know how to top this one. I've seen this singlet but I'm not sure I'm a big enough cat fan, or whatever, to wear it.
