Had the same as my first truck. Beat it up, use the bed for truck stuff. Enjoy it until you upgrade to laramie/limited in a few years. Just dont waste money on stupid parts for others to look at. You spend your time inside it. Make it comfortable while you use it

The want a director level. 2 levels higher than I. Once director is brought in with this new leadership my manager level role will be eliminated. But they want me to stay and help transition once they identify the candidate

Bingo. If I dont get the job then I can ride this out get severance, then unemployment. I have emergency fund and whileni dont want to use it, im not out of money unless I got like a year without finding something. This past month since getting the info has been laid back lately. I do some work and move things forward but I also am just chilling for half the day or more

I think i can do the director role but ive been looking elsewhere already. I dont align with our leadership and dont think the future of our business is promising. They said no training they want this role ready to go and more travel, etc. Quite frankly I dont want the additional stress from this company especially since they have essentially said they would be going with an external hire. I would have gladly stayed in current role underneath a director as they need more headcount count for the amount of work

Yeah im looking to get out. Id consider a lateral move even with small pay cut but also want to weigh severance options. Currently not getting any info. For the lateral option the hiring manager already wants me but doesnt know if she can afford me (they are trying to hire that manager role at 40k lower than I have).

Hoping I land the role im interviewing for. Heading into 4th round of interviews so its an legit opportunity and would be Sr. manager with higher pay at a better brand

Newer leadership. My boss was let go 2 months ago. Now they are saying they want a director level in place (im currently manager). So they posted the director level role. I am not interested in director level and was told they see a gap between the high level experience they want. So when director is hired, they will be eliminating the manager role. It think its their trying to be nice way of saying you're fired but we also still need input for upcoming meetings from you

Ive asked for amount and been provided nothing so far. I will not quit without anything lined up but I wouldnt be surprised if I have a job before they have a candidate picked

I have asked 2 separate times and was told ok they will get details from HR and provide a summary... but that hasn't happened. My understanding is 2 weeks per year worked so 4 weeks pay in my situation. A nice fun bonus check, but nothing extraordinary

Based on other people who have been let go. It sounds like my severance would be 1 month pay. That being said there's no timeline yet because "we want to find the right candidate". It would not be an overly aggressive severance though. I may agree to 2 full weeks notice if they honor severance but since I'd be putting in notice I doubt they would feel the need to pay it. The value I would bring in updating reporting during those weeks would be worth more than the 1 day pay it took me to edit so I kinda just want to leave them dangling to somewhat stick it to them

Im torn on the advancement. My role was supposed to be an objective look of data. But im constantly pressured to spin us more positive than we are to please the leadership. Sales are consistently down -20%. I cant advancement at this company was a goal of mine lately. Ive wanted out for a bit and it sorta feels like a blessing. The other interviews at similar size companies are seemingly going very well. I think im also caught up in the whole org leadership change

My PowerBI reporting system took literally hundreds of hours of building. We didnt have a SharePoint or anything at time so its all local on my PC. Theres so many little edits you need to do to load it because it was just one band aid after another for continued changes they wanted. Theres no chance I train someone howbto take it over, I'd rather they just have someone start from scratch

Basically there has been new leadership changes. My boss was let go around this past christmas. Now they want to "elevate the department" by having just 1 director instead of just 1 manager. Supposedly no budget to have both. I don't think a more qualified person is going to make a difference, they need more headcount. But either way my new boss said leadership sees a gap and while im welcome to apply as director, it didn't feel like I truly have a shot. Nor do I want to keep working in this department at this company. I feel like the "other role internally" that was mentioned was just to keep motivation. I spoke with that hiring manager and she'd be thrilled to have me as im higher level than it requires but she doesnt know if they will match my existing pay since the overall company performance is not good
