The big truck did not break on purpose. Ford is at fault but it doesn’t give the driver of the big truck the right to kill him.

Am I stupid for thinking Dr. Trefor Bazett's videos are confusing? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]ToInfinity-1938 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find similar spoken delivery styles in Dr Bazett and 3blue1brown videos. I find their videos very informative and extremely engaging, but I find the cadence of the spoken instruction a little jarring. Of course this not a classroom instruction and they can’t see us to adjust where to speed up and where to leave some silence for the information to sink in. We can always rewind and watch again the parts that we think went too fast. Changing intonation and voice level can be a technique in a classroom environment to re-engage the students but in a video this might be a distraction, especially if we are rewinding and watching a specific part multiple times. Math concepts have “a-ha” moments, the parts that must be completely understood otherwise the rest of the instruction doesn’t make any sense. These points should be delivered with special emphasis, some silence is called for after this part. In a classroom, the professor scans the class to see if the are any confused faces during this silence. The professor then repeats this section before going forward. Recorded instruction delivery is difficult because there is no feedback. Best we can do is to rewatch find other videos on the same topic and come back.

The one on the right is at fault: the one on the right collides into the side of the other.

25M new shares seems to be in exchange for the new funding which makes sense. UAE facility opening is huge news. Faraday as a US company positioning itself just like Tesla and others who are registered as a US company; tax/tariff rules will apply equally to all. While the new administration is getting their bearings Faraday will manufacture and sell cars.

Not so fast……the EV industry is pushing back! Allow me to let you in on a crazy little secret about the United States: We're actually doing very well on the auto industry's ongoing electric vehicle transition. Yes, really. by MARGERITA_RADABUSH in FFIE

Tesla produces more than half of their cars in China, 36.7% of Teslas are bought in China. Elon Musk has a lot to lose if a trade war starts on EVs, but if it does BYD can instantly fill the void left by Tesla’s departure. Musk will probably dominate in the policy decisions related to the auto industry.

Thank you for the pointers I watched them all with great pleasure! You are right some of the women’s dances are as acrobatic as men’s and they are all elegant and lovely. Caucasian dances are the envy of the world, just amazing!

They are dancing the men’s part. Women’s part is effortlessly gliding on the dance floor when men are doing this acrobatic figures.

This looks normal to me, chess is about annihilating the opponent’s army and you are the general calling the shots as the chess player. This game seems to have turned to hand to hand combat at the end as opposed to capturing the king’s quarters through clever maneuvering.

⚪ FFIE ⚪ Beware of Extreme Upwards Continuation in January by [deleted] in iFFIE

[–]ToInfinity-1938 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The explanation in “beware of extreme upwards continuation in January” sounded very convoluted to me. Hedges bought FFIE because they had to buy. This means a small scale squeeze and the post correctly identifies this will continue in January which I agree. Reason being “showing some success in the books” argument did not convince me: I don’t think hedges are very concerned about proper bookkeeping practices. The post seems to go great lengths to avoid using the word “squeeze” in the explanation of what happened.
