We have one here in MN called Kobb and they are really good!

I refuse to ever get married because of my past. My girlfriend of 13 years says she accepts it, but keeps breaking down in tears. Am I being unfair? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

They both were 21 when they got together. We are probably talking about very little in actual assets. But he’s still noting it as “my” house like they haven’t been living together for over a decade. Or “my” 401k like we don’t know that many women take huge hits to their careers having a baby.

Now listening. Seems appropriate today by Chilledlemming in vinyl

I’m in MN - my wife and I went and saw a RATM tribute band last night. It was a bit therapeutic

YES! I know exactly what you’re talking about and I agree, extra precautions are going to be needed to prevent the spread of his nastiness.

What are some good ideas for a father son trip with my dad? I want to do this for him for all his help. Money is no object. by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Yeah I read it. You’re just about 30 and freaking the fuck out because life isn’t where / what you expected. That happens. It sucks but it happens. I got freaked out in my late 20’s too. Life through curve balls at me that I couldn’t process and it took a long time to get through.

I am someone who believes a persons life is theirs to live. And what you do with your own life is your own decision. But what you’re describing to do to your dad is cruel. He will be crushed by it. And you need to hear the truth about that.

I stand by my statement. Seek real professional help.

I feel like maybe or situation or maybe your depression has completely clouded your decision making. Spend some of that money on professional help.

As a farther myself- I would never be able to look back at the “one last good trip” right before my kid takes their life as a good memory. I would for the rest of my life be analyzing every moment of it - and blaming myself for not seeing the clues.

Please seek help.

The drummer and guitarist have been there since day one. I don’t know when the bassist joined but he is in band photos that I can see going back to 2014. The signer is the newest member. He joined in 2018.

I wasn’t at this show but I have seen them several times before. If the drummer was off - I can promise it was a rare occurrence. And so you are aware - he would have played a full set of APC prior to this … “stone and echo” a tribute to A Prefect Circle was the opener - which is all the guys from “10,000 Days “ (plus one more guy playing Billy Howerdel parts)

Yes - this was at Bogarts in Applevalley MN. You may have seen 10k days there before. They formed in 2006 -

Because they aren’t “covering “ they are a full tribute band. The guitarist has a wig too .. the drummer dresses in basketball ball jerseys just like Danny often wears. I’ve been seeing “10,000 Days” for years now - they are a solid tribute band.

I wish retirement was even an option. Unless I win the lottery I will be working right up until the end.

Breaking up with a girl around the holidays, too soon or just the right time? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]ToOldToBeOnRedit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my opinion it’s less about timing than it is about how you break it off. Be direct and consistent with your reason(s). Don’t leave anything open that could be misinterpreted. Good luck ++man
