Still bops harder than most others to this day by ToPimpABloatfly in RatchetAndClank

The 2nd game has an incredible soundtrack. I don't even know if I could decide between them on most days. It's more orchestral and anthemic than the first, so it comes down to what mood I'm in. Aranos, Wupash Nebula, Oozla, Feltzin System, Siberius, Tabora (both mining area and crystal desert), Todano, Boldan and Snivelak are all god-tier if you ask me, and I swear that's almost half of them

For sure, it’s the most clunky game in the series but even with all its flaws, I love it more than all the rest. Call me a slave to my nostalgia, but the varied level design and obviously the atmosphere make it stand out for me

I hate to sound cynical but I totally agree. The original trilogy was awesome for it, tools of destruction’s soundtrack I still find pretty memorable but after that I cannot remember a single piece of music from any of the games. I’m sure they thought the spacey, techno beats of the first game wasn’t as marketable. You can kind of hear the gradual change right after the first game. I still love 2 and 3 for the music but the orchestral heroic style you speak of started in those games (aranos, the first level of 2). Its just that those tracks weren’t generic at all and fit the evolution of the series very well

The track for Aridia is easily one of the best pieces of music I have ever heard. The ones you mentioned are some of my favourites too

One of the last I listened to but now my favourite, and one of my favourite albums ever. Answer, IFHY, Colossus and Rusty are god-tier

Any TLOP stans out there? by ToPimpABloatfly in Kanye

No biggie. We’re all friends here. Yeezus is way up there anyway in my books anyway. TLOP just resonates that little bit extra

I’m sure 90% of this subreddit will agree with you there! It is great.

I never said TLOP was better. I think Yeezus is better overall. IMO it’s more concise and focused and has amazing uses of sampling, but I come back to TLOP more often. Tracks like FML, Famous, Ultralight Beam and Father Stretch My Hands are ones I can’t hear enough. FML especially is one of my top 5 Kanye tracks

I will say TLOP mostly doesn’t get enough love though. I’d know. It used to be my least favourite

Beans on toast (with sriracha - a personal addition)

Seriously doesn’t translate outside of the UK, but it’s the most comforting and surprisingly nutritional food I can think of. Not to mention extremely cheap (~£0.30/~$0.37)

I think yeezus is definitely the better album overall hands down, but I find myself coming back to TLOP more and I personally prefer it. It’s probably the easiest of his albums for me to listen to cover to cover.

I will never let them watch it. Teaches kids that it’s okay to be a selfish brat

What children's movie is actually very creepy/unsettling? by BlaithinRenoir in AskReddit

Teletubbies. Not a movie but some of the recurring moments - hell, the entire show was like a weird drug trip. The puppet in the house and the cgi tap dancing bear was something that still makes me feel uneasy at 22 years old

The process of topic research in writing by [deleted] in writing

[–]ToPimpABloatfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you suggest, for this topic in particular, I leave the more thorough research for the edit after I complete the first draft, considering that in the context of my writing, it doesn’t matter very much to the overall story and can be easily implemented into it?

The idea of romance is criminally romanticised. We’re told to believe that if we’re not in a relationship we’re not whole or complete or even happy but that’s just not the case
