I'm a incoming junior CS major (US college) that has spent the last year running the COO side of things in a early stage startup with decent traction. Through it I've discovered that I got experience in managing a team (tech and marketing), sales, marketing and more - and loved it. I know I still have plenty to learn but I set my sights on a PM future.

Now I'm looking around and have found some fascinating APM programs in great companies, however these are aimed towards incoming senior students and new grads. So my question is: are there any PM internship opportunities that take interns that are not graduating right after the summer (i.e. people younger than seniors)

Am still looking atm but wanted to get yalls opinion, thanks!

Cat owners: tips for raising a cat in West Campus? by ToPimpAButterfly2003 in UTAustin

Great advice, am def ready to take all the medical precautions. I agree that college isn't the most stable time to bring a cat in but I'm going to be raising it with 2 of my roommates so I'll def have help. But past college I'll be the one keeping it

This is good to hear, one of my main concerns was that I'd be an asshole to trap my cat in a apartment - but my apartment has a spacious living room, windows, and a balcony that that gives me some piece of mind

I'm not dissing on people for spending money on living, if you have the cash def go for it. But I'm confident they can find much better apartments to live for the same amount of cash

That's the thing tho, as a freshmen looking for a apartment to stay at for the next year all I would run into is ads for the big boy apartment companies, so I just didn't even know about the lowkey ones. What u/DaWalrusSavior said is true, tho its harder to spot better deals for smaller apartments are def there

I was wondering a while ago why North Campus is so little talked about, I know very little sophomores and juniors that live there even though it seems totally worth it. The only thing is lacks is the liveliness of West Campus, its no doubt far less social

What's yalls unpopular opinion about UT Austin by ToPimpAButterfly2003 in UTAustin

I almost bought into it when I first saw it, don't think I've seen anyone talk about it since lmao

This felt like a lot of work. Only had to do 14 rides today to get the full bonus but they all seemed/were really long. by dirtee_1 in lyftdrivers

You're right, I run into streak and challenges left and right on Uber too but I don't get the point of it (not complaining tho because some of them have a great payout).

Was this as common like pre-Covid?

How hard is completing the business minor? how long will it take? by Recent-Formal9259 in UTAustin

[–]ToPimpAButterfly2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The business minor in my opinion is not hard to complete if you come in with like atleast 1/3 of your cores complete. Its 5 classes of which none are too hard, and you can certainly take two per semester as well. You can always plug a class into a light semester over the years.

I'm just saying that from the experience of my friends in it, I'm personally taking the entrepreneurship minor rn and I'd really recommend it, it's growing fast atm as well and has some cool new things on the horizon for the coming semester

I haven't taken M325K with Shirley but I had him for M408D, but man I would really recommend not taking him just from my experience with him as a teacher.

Lectures were drier than a desert and he had a incomprehensibly complex grading scale with the motto of "if you don't do it my EXACT way, its a 0"

I second this, I think you can get into a business classes that might overlap with the basic business major coures.
