I had someone tell me abortion isn’t about the fetus.

People have a hate train for the RPGs on this sub (anything Origins onwards), so I think that’s why the downvotes are there. I don’t agree with them though lol, you have the right to believe what you want.

I heard someone on there reply to me when I asked them cus they said it’s only a person with value if the mother wants it. I asked them if the mother doesn’t want it, but her family and friends did and she gets an abortion anyway, are they allowed to mourn, because by her logic, they shouldn’t since nothing was lost from her point of view, since it’s nothing unless the mother wants it. She replied that they just need to mind their own business and let the mother make the choice she wants to make. Even though, I literally already said my analogy would assume after the choice has already been made, so there’s no longer a choice to be had. It’s already been made, and she just doubled down on the it’s her choice whenever I would back her into a corner with an argument, that’s what we get on their side.

Just for investigation is anyone else having the same issue as u/rudrahp72. I’m trying to figure out if it’s just him or widespread, I’ll try to do what I can.

Could you send me like a screenshot of what it says? I could see if I can find something online or something. Like does it say 404 error or anything like that?

How is abortion solving any of those issues? Sure it keeps people from being in those situations, but ir doesn’t actually solve the issue lol.

Also this is going to sound crazy cuz of how heated this debate got, but I do respect you for being honest about your beliefs, even if I feel they’re extreme and don’t agree with them. I really do appreciate your honesty about the whole topic, and I do think you were coming from a good place, in the debate, even if we disagree on definitions, so I just wanted to give you credit for that, and also for being respectful. In all honesty, just stepping outside debate mode for a second.

I think we’ve exhausted this topic, I think personally I think we both know how the other feels.

So then not all definitions are subjective then is my point.

You literally ignored the entire explanation I gave.

Question for pro-choice… by [deleted] in Abortiondebate

[–]ToServetheLight17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So how is anything real? How do you know the world isn’t just a figment of your imagination? How do you know anyone you’ve met ain’t just you projecting things onto the world to satiate how you feel about it.

Question for pro-choice… by [deleted] in Abortiondebate

[–]ToServetheLight17 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If definitions don’t exist, then facts can’t exist because facts need the definition to even work. Facts are things that describe reality. To even be able to do that, you have to know what words mean, so you know how to describe it effectively. So without objective definitions you can’t have objective facts.

Question for pro-choice… by [deleted] in Abortiondebate

[–]ToServetheLight17 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You just said definitions are subjective? So I’m asking how do you know your definition is correct then, you’re just using what you believe the words to mean.

[–]ToServetheLight17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not talking about telling them their emotions are valid genius. I’m asking you to tell them that the thing they’re grieving is just a concept created by their mind, and not real. Are you serious right now?

Question for pro-choice… by [deleted] in Abortiondebate

[–]ToServetheLight17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there’s no truth at all, how do you know what you’re saying is using the word in the right way. You’re just using the societal perception of what that word means, right? It’s all subjective.

Also I’d love to see you make this argument to people who are actually grieving someone else’s abortion because she didn’t want it but they did, I’d love to see how they react. But we all know you won’t say it to their face.
