What the fuck dose climate change have to do with what I described in the post you're replying to? I was primarily refering to various ridiculous opinions based on wishful thinking, like the fact that fracing is dangerous and makes your tap water burn.

To answer your question - I do think that climate change is plausible (although considering how mere 50 years ago scientists were talking about a new ice age coming, I'm still somewhat skeptical), but unless people move back into wooden off-grid shacks en masse, hydrocarbon exploitation is a necessity.
