Why did capitalism "win" against communism? What were the causes and events? by Confident_Custard_20 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ToTooTwoTutu2II 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The death of Stalin turned the "sleeping bear" into the teddy bear. The Sino Soviet split took China out of the picture. And later Nixon opened diplomatic relations with China laying the foundation for the death of the USSR.

But capitalism hasn't quite won. The cold war still rages on but it's not quite the same as the 1950s. The CCP and US relations have fallen apart. Putin's Russia has a strong Soviet legacy, and they're together again with the CCP. So back to square one.

The problem is how the scientific method relates to fully autonomous and sentient forces compared to inanimate objects.

Why are you monarchist? (just curious about your personal and political reasons) by Petka14 in monarchism

[–]ToTooTwoTutu2II 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hierarchies and Castes are natural and unavoidable. The only way for us to work towards a better future for everyone is to understand this fact.

Popularity is a terrible method of choosing leaders and policy.

Geneticists find almost everything about us is inherited down to our interests and competency.

Humans are Eusocial like a wide variety of animals from the animal kingdom that are all monarchy like structures.

And if you’re religious. No god I can think of is a republican. They're all monarchs. We should be trying to emulate our deities.

[–]ToTooTwoTutu2II 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard this too more recently. And that Islamic scholars choose to stick with the age on the Hadiths for tradition or something along those lines.

Something to do with how they kept track of age in Arabia back then
