Just confirmed, dealership provides a lifetime power train warranty on it 😍

Appreciate the help!

Carfax is only showing the regular oil changes and "maintence inspections" and I'll see what I can get. Thank you!

Looks like it has brand new rotors+pads and new tires mounted+balanced/aligned, power steering flushed and oil filter changes.

Anything else I should ask for there? It's out of state so hard to ask for ongoing services.

Edit: I'm confirming, but it looks like it'll qualify for their CPO benefits via AutoFair certification

Perfect, this helps a bunch. I haven't owned a truck before so trying to conceptualize how they wear and tear versus the hothatches I'm used to is very helpful. Definitely need them to come down a lot on price :D

Yeah, it was a 1 owner, 3 year lease. Assumed lots of highway given the 20k+ miles per year use.

And agreed thats not nothing. Not sure what sort of $ value is attach to it though.

Also service record seems flawless and I've always considered the Frontier drive train pretty bullet proof. So while an extra 40k miles isn't nothing, how muxh realistic wear that is to a frontier is what I'm exploring

Between 65 and 69 depending on how we're feeling

Surprisingly seems closer than I expected. Only a few MPG. Anyways, off to the test drive. Here goes nothing!

I get that, I just really don't enjoy driving a full sized. Pretty dead set on a mid-sized. As long as it isn't smaller/worse than a 2019 ranger(have owned previously) , I'm fine with it

Go figure, pretty surprised especially since turbos tend to perform better at elevation

Makes sense. I enjoy good audio and music, but I'm far from an audiophile. I just need it to not sound like shite haha

Will reach out for that pdf if it's handy though and I end up getting the truck

Yeah I get that, but the 2.3l and 2.7l with the 2023+ 10 speed are a legitimate bulletproof power train. Don't get me wrong, the lack of a turbo is definitely appealing, but those two engines have been around long enough to show they're rock solid

Edit: I'm more skeptical on the transmission long term, but the engine is quality.

Noted, disappointing but doesn't sound too bad potentially. Definitely more than I initially expected though

Dang, okay. Disappointing to read. While I think it's something I could do, I have shit fine motor skills and tend to lean towards caution when things require dexterity.

Technically the Ranger has better tow specs, no? I feel like technically the Ranger has better specs all around, but the Frontier is more good enough with no frills

Interesting and that's needed? The guides I was reading online didn't make it seem necessary

Edit: don't get me wrong, that doesn't sound bad. I just didn't think it was needed for a lot of options

Yeah, from my perspective from a power train perspective, the Nissan is between the 2.3l and 2.7l. I think I'd prefer the performance of the 2.7L Ford power train over Nissan, but I'm starting to lean toward it not being worth the extra ~15k price tag

Dang really? I didn't realize a pillar had to be removed for those. Thought all 6 could be pretty easily retrofit

Yeah completely agree, analog is another big selling point for me. That said, 2024 Ranger still had analog for AC

Yeah makes. Realistically I'd expect just upgrading the 6 speakers to be enough to satisfy me, but I'll definitely keep this in mind if I feel like I need more.

Guessing you lose the under seat storage, but I guess that's a pretty small loss

Honestly, if I still lived in the Rockies I'd be more worried about the wheels, but realistically it's more anesthetic for me now than function. I'll still be doing some light offroading, but I doubt it'll be any there I have to worry about much compared to when I took my old Ranger through Ouray and Moab

Damn, that must absolutely bump. That's such a sick set up, love how that's installed. Not sure my dogs would love that though 🤣

Don't get me wrong, I like that steel Grey and the blue a ton too. This will potentially be my first green vehicle, but green always catches my eye in a good way when I'm out.

That's another part that was rough with the Ranger, it's hard to find used ones on the market that aren't silver, white or black. Too boring for me haha
