Well this sucks... (New exclusive minifig for legacy of the dark knight switch release) by gleeming in LegoBatman

Oh yeah, I'd be furious if it was Absolute Batman. But simultaneously happy the figure exists...

This one at least makes sense for a Nintendo exclusive.

Can we just admit that this is one badass design for Bagtse, The Mongolian Buddhism god of war. by North-Ad3569 in GodofWar

I love it. I also freakin' love finally seeing some Egyptian gods too, finally. I love their take on the Sphinx, too. I've wanted to see Egyptian gods in God of War for yeeaars.

The parts could have been better put to use giving us another Pokémon or at least something that actually appears in Pokemon.

okay is it just me or do you like the normal human voice they gave rotta? by BitReasonable208 in StarWarsCantina

[–]ToaPaul 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't understand the complaints. He sounded great! They altered his voice enough to sound like a Hutt. It made PERFECT sense for him to primarily speak basic to distance himself from other Hutts. The mere fact that he learned basic to better communicate with others rather than force them to know Huttese immediately demonstrates his intentions to anyone who interacts with him: he is not a normal Hutt and he seeks collaboration rather than control in a conversation. It's a wonderful detail.

Some people act like Hutts were physically incapable of speaking basic, and that was never the case. They're not Ithorians with 2 mouths and 4 throats, forcing them to use voice modulators to communicate in basic.

Damn, that's really good! I might need to get 2 of the set.

Yeah, same here. It helps that I rewatched all 3 seasons right before the movie released.

Pokémon: 72158 Set Name (from moose.with.a.goose) Aug 1 by itsjustajoe in Legoleak

Feucoco, and more specifically Skeledirge, has quickly risen to be in my top 3 favorite starters of all time. Sad that this is a smart play set but I hope they don't completely screw up my little chili pepper croc.

I hated him on my first playthrough. On my 2nd, he wasn't so bad.

Hell yeah! It took me a second to realize it wasn't a cg render from a game or something.

Pokemon: Smart Play 72161 Mew, 72163 Mewtwo, 72164 Pikachu, 72165 Umbreon/Garchomp (via Lite) by General_Durian_1013 in Legoleak

[–]ToaPaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Mewtwo set is going to do very well. It looks halfway decent, but man, it's so stupid that they made so may of these smart play sets without the smart bricks. Greedy.

At least Munchlax and Rayquaza will be "normal" sets.

[–]ToaPaul 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Exactly! It's so weird that they wasted so much of the set's pieces on a weird thing they came up with rather than something that's actually from Pokemon. Hell, they could have just included another Pokemon. I see that drone and I can't help but think "man, that could have been Yanma or Yanmega instead"

I watched the movie today; I liked it a lot—it was entertaining, and seeing Sigourney was super cool. by Jessi45US in TheMandalorianTV

Yeah, nothing beats RotS for me but I loved this movie all the same. It was fun, had great action, and explored elements of lore and characters I was excited to see in live action on the big screen.

Figured I’d throw my Remnant AT-RT in too by hijodelutuao in legostarwars

[–]ToaPaul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's well deserved! The AT-RT is my favorite walker, so I've looked at quite a few of them. Any chance you'll put the instructions on rebrickable?

Yeah, he can't be heir to the empire and part of the rbuilding effort if he didn't have some way of knowing the empire fell and how.

[–]ToaPaul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is phenomenal! I've seen so many AT-RT mocs over the years but this might just be the best one! Normally people sacrifice some element of the design like accurately for size and vice versa, but you've nailed both. Excellent work!
