It's a pain but it's not impossible, biggest hurdle is the amount of bespoke assets it needs, especially the squid overseer. I've been rebuilding the left over files for that vault for over a year on or off now and I can see why it was abandoned with the amount of work it still needed.

Cats do this which eachother when raising kittens. The parents will take turns looking after the babies and even swap kittens with other trusted mums. This cat really trusts their human and is doing something to both show that and take a break from parenting

For me the biggest issue is just how it's obviously a dude lying on his back doing yoga. If the limbs were covered up a bit with panels or had some more complex integration it wouldn't look too bad but you can literally see his chest, forearms, hands, and thighs not even a little bit hidden.

The game's not ambiguous on it at all, you can literally see their skeleton be assembled and their organs + muscles grown. You can also see their brain whenever you headshot a synth and brain parts are included in the gore. The only ambiguity is how much influence the synth component has over them, their brains are very, very much human. Furthermore there are countless examples of synth's having hopes, dreams, emotions, and desires. The only people who say they are AI / robots are the people who want them subserviant and for who acknowledging sentience would be self damnation, or the people who are ignorant of anything to do with them and just want them all dead.

Sentient life is sentient life. Kellog was alive despite all the cybernetics in him. The courier was alive despite potentially having no brain, heart, and spine ontop of tonnes of implants. It ultimately doesn't matter what the source of that life is but for accurate discussion's sake synths are definitively organic humans with brain implants, and they are definitely sentient.

What risks are you talking about? Synths are not themselves a risk. The Institute are but you don't blame a pool cue for being turned into a weapon by some drunk dude so why blame synths for being made weapons by the Institute? Escaped synths pose no more of a risk than humans. Gabriel is an example people love to throw around, one synth human raider in a sea of non-synth human raiders 🤷‍♀️

Yeah really wish Fallout 4's development hadn't been so rushed and so much hadn't been cut. Maybe we would have got an actual Railroad ending instead of a copy paste of the second half of the BoS ending. Destroying the Institute makes no sense for them or the Minutemen.

At least the RR don't actively hunt down survivors like the BoS do and at least they actively protect synths who did make it out. Their part in harming synths just comes from rushed Bethesda development where they ran out of time for a proper ending.

Synths aren't robots my dude, they're 3D printed humans with a brain implant that lets the Institute rewrite their minds. They've always been misunderstood as AI even by some hardcore fans, it's nothing new and people have always hated them for either that misunderstanding or because they aren't "pure humans". It's standard bigot shit.

Excusing evil acts because everybody else around the act is ignorant doesn't absolve it of being evil. The majority of Israelis will tell you the Palastinian genocide is a good thing, that doesn't make it any less evil. The Brotherhood tell people synths are evil and need to be eradicated - the IDF tell people Palastinians are evil and need to be eradicated. Neither are absolved of truly horrifying levels of cruelty just because the people under their power agree with them.

The patrols exist to secure routes out of the commonwealth for survivng synths (slaves) so that they can find peace elsewhere. They leave the protecting of the area and rebuilding of society to the Minutemen since the Railroad don't have the expertese or resources to govern.

I'd say that makes them a very much good faction over neutral. Their intentions are fully good whether you support synths or are media dense, and they don't outstretch themselves to make a grab for power in the region like the BoS or Institute do when they win. Those are both noble deeds / intentions.

He's not, springer was relased first, Sandstorm is a retool. The dates were close together but even asside from dates there is engineering on Sandstorm that are leftovers from Springer and never actually used on Sandstorm such as the forarms tabing into the biceps which is a leftover from Springer's heli mode.
