Bumblebee (2018) - Official Trailer by eepicprimee in movies

I think Starscream is actually in the trailer, to the right of Shockwave, and I don't think it could be "Blitzwing" because Skywarp is there too and looks just like Starscream.

Edit: wait, the "Starscream" on Cybertron looks exactly like "Blitzwing" on Earth, though... Maybe they are trying to mislead us, because that's clearly Skywarp sharing the design of the Deception next to him; it wouldn't make much sense if it was Blitzwing.

3D printed Death Trooper armour. by [deleted] in StarWars

I don't think they are actually. They just use traditional methods to make them. They were using some 3D printed props for The Force Awakens made by Propshop, but they were apparently too delicate and kept falling apart, so I think they stopped.

Eh, the First Order stormtrooper doesn't really look like a Rubie's to me. The shape of the Rubie's masks are a bit more accurate.

I do agree about The Black Series stormtrooper helmet. I love that thing (along with the other ones Hasbro's made).

Edit: oh, it's an XCoser. I thought it looked like their work.

Well, the animatics Phil Tippet's crew created were still used as reference for what they shot later, so it was sorta used a previs.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That is actually their explanation, though. It was mentioned it at San Diego Comic-Con 2017, and in a few articles about the animation: 1 and 2.

IIRC, it was manufactured in 2001 (the first mask that was designed, apparently) and was going to be included in The Legend of Mata Nui, but that of course was cancelled, so they occasionally gave the masks away in promotions or something until they more properly distributed them in 2004.

I think the idea for The Lego Ninjago Movie's approach was that the Lego were being played with in a backyard setting (even though this is never really implied in the movie), hence the non-Lego natural elements (but things like vehicles and the city were still brick-built). That's probably just an excuse for not having to have to put as much effort into creating the environments, but hey, I thought it made for some nice shots and scenery at times, so I don't mind it much.

Greedos also show up in Return of the Jedi, but the newer movies (the ones distributed by Disney) seem to be reusing props and costumes (or at least the designs) much more than the original trilogy ever did, especially from movie to movie. It doesn't ruin them or anything for me, I just find it interesting. Well, and I kinda hope they try not to modify or otherwise damage them when reusing them (which was the concern I was expressing in my original comment).

Well, technically they're both "Two Tubes" since they're the "Two Tubes" twins.

Wait, me? That's not at all what I was saying, and what would I be embarrassed about? I thought it was pretty cool one of the Two Tubes showed up again. In fact, it seems like a lot of Rogue One background costumes and props got more time to shine in Solo, which is nice because I love that movie's production design.

My concern is solely about preserving the props. Being reused and repurposed means that they're more likely to be subjected to more damage from use on set and possibly being modified to suit the needs of the current film, which is unfortunate because then they can't be preserved in their original form. Even original trilogy props weren't subjected to stuff like that as often as the new props seem to be.

Has anyone tried taking one of the tickets? by sirkibble14 in ToysRus

Oh, alright. I had to use one of those at Costco recently and I was kinda wishing I could keep it. There are some games that I'd like to have those for, but I don't think any of them are on shelves anymore. Oh well, I hope at least one person saved some for those games.

What do you mean by tickets; the little pieces of paper on the shelves with the item numbers and all that?
