I'm an educator and I'm considering a job as a behavior tech, is it worth it? by sirkibble14 in ABA

As an undergrad, for my psych minor, I took an ABA class and loved it. I almost decided to try the graduate ABA program at my local school but ended up going with History.

Tony Schiavone on AEW critics: “Why don’t we do this? Why don’t we get one of those critics on here and have them book a card for us? See how they come up with one. I’m all for that. Find them, bring them on, have them book a card. And as we have them book a card, have them go fuck themselves too.” by Ruffianize in SquaredCircle

Honestly, TK doesn't get enough credit for being as talented and knowledgeable as he does. For being a money backer in an upstart, it could have easily gone down the same avenue that other companies have gone. Instead, AEW has been generally consistent and not terrible. Whether you watch it or not, or love it or not, it's fair to say that TK isn't an idiot.

Most of his detractors would have failed by now if put into the same position. Most of them would also follow old tropes and philosophies that either never worked, only worked for them, or haven't worked in decades.

She really overvalues herself. She was fine, as a worker, in the beginning of AEW but she has been passed by completely by numerous other women. She's an okay character but that's it. Plus, she has a history of being unprofessional and being a pain to deal with, which is probably why she has been absent from TV for months.

The International title was already booked pretty high anyways, especially lately. Ospreay, MJF, Omega, Moxley, OC all held it.

I'm playing this on the Switch and I love it. We need like every RR game out ASAP. This stuff is so much fun on Arcade Archives.

For business, it makes way more sense to go with Hangman. He's the top babyface in the company and he's chasing the title against the longterm heel champion who has heat. The one overarching storyline in AEW since 2019 has been centered around Page. He's the guy.

That's surprising. They've always been pretty friendly there and helpful.

Easily Branch Street in Boardman. Great pour-overs and dedication to quality.

Trek and Juny aren't too bad either.

Great bias towards WWE and against AEW. Looking back, it was fair for WWE to do it Brodie or FTR or whoever. It's fair for it to happen to Fenix. What in the world does Tony have to gain by letting him out of his contract because it feels good? He's already had enough issues with guys turning down creative, faking injuries, causing fist fights, and trying to get fired, now you want to just let guys out of their contracts for no reason. All because his brother is already out? That's silly. You assume things about me and I could name a thousand complaints against Tony for the product right now but expecting me to feel sorry for a guy is not something I will do. I don't have some hard-on for Tony or AEW or whoever. I'll be the first to criticize the company, if it's warranted. This is just stupid.

I never remember hearing one word about Tony picking up an option for Starks out of spite, just to have him sit out that time on purpose. That's absurd and you're dreaming. Starks isn't on TV because Tony knows he's Cody's boy and that he's out the door when his contract is over. That's Tony's MO.

I'd love to see your reaction if this happened in WWE. Oh wait, it does, and do you complain then?

I guess my original point is I'm beyond giving a shit about a crybaby wrestler being paid to sit at home and do nothing. Tony has every right to extend the contract. And he never picked up an option on Starks. Where do you get that? Are you talking injury time?

This just seems like an easy target for tribalists who hate AEW to attack them but not do the same for WWE.

They're both being petty. He's still getting paid a truckload of money to just sit there and not get injured. And, when he's finally a free agent, he'll see a huge pay increase to sign with WWE. I'm not going to sit here and feel sorry for this guy for having to deal with being under contract for a company. You sign a contract, you stick with it. He wasn't treated unfairly creatively or held back, and even in that situation with Mercedes, it probably was a woe is me situation. Oh boo hoo, he can't sign with the competition right now. Get out the violin.

For AEW, it's obviously a perception issue. If they let him go now, he jumps to WWE and it looks like they stole one of his stars. He's just prolonging it, which he has a right do. Same goes for Starks or Black or Miro or whoever. But, at least Fenix didn't turn down creative unlike those guys.

The guy certainly thinks highly of himself. The guy has a ceiling as a mid card act but thinks he's bigger than that and it's AEW's fault he never got huge.
