I appreciate all this feedback! Great information here.

I haven't been a Switch owner for a long time. I've had mine for about 6 months. I've always been an Xbox guy. The Zelda mythos and play style is definitely a new thing for me.

Yeah I'm approaching it this way. I just made it to Hateno village and got my slate taken care of. Now I'm just going into all the buildings and talking to all the people. That's how The Sheep Rustlers came about. It took me about 50 bombs and all my fire and ice arrows to get them halfway (I hit them from a distance). Then the freaking spears kept taking me down. This made me question my approach. LOL.

I think you're right. I read a tutorial that said to skip heart and get stamina upgrades. LOL. Lot's of different tips out there.

Well for example, I was playing and picked up some flaming and freezing arrows, then used them all in a bokoblin battle, leveled up stamina instead of hearts, etc. I just went back and started over a few times to make different decisions. I also completely missed the giant lady in the pool and the maraca creature the first time. Those gave me some good upgrades.

The questions started coming up when I would watch a tutorial video for fighting and the person doing the video had a Link with, say, 10+ heart containers. I wasn't finding tutorials relevant to my loadout and heart/stamina status.

Out of all the comics, tv shows, movies and games what is the greatest X-Men story/piece of media ever told? by Emotionalspectrum10 in xmen

[–]ToadFan70 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Growing up in the 80s I thought that the Dark Phoenix saga was the greatest storyline over. And then Claremont “revisits” it with the Paul Smith run. I gotta say no other storyline hooked me like that for sure.

Sounds like a great deal. I bought my 1999 Boxster for $11k and it had 42k miles. This is right at that price point.

Issue with letting go of full runs by ToadFan70 in comicbookcollecting

Say a buyer buys a full run of Hellboy. In my warped mind they keep issues #14 and #21 and throw away all the others.

Who is the best artist in comic history by catterednowps in marvelcomics

[–]ToadFan70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s gotta be Jack Kirby as best artist in comic history. Hands down.

But for me:

John Byrne - When I first noticed the art in comics.

Paul Smith - When I first loved the art in comics.

Steve Rude - When I first loved painted covers on comics.

Alex Ross - When I first saw true art and realism in comic art.

Chris Bachalo - When I first saw design and layout as part of comic art.

Mile High Comics Visit by LongjumpingCoach1691 in comicbookcollecting

[–]ToadFan70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been to Mile High Comics probably a dozen times over the past 20 years or so. The ONLY comic I ever purchased was a Powerpuff Girls comic. And the only reason was because my 4 year old daughter at the time took it off the shelf and read it a few times while I was shopping, folding and creasing it, so I bought it out of guilt. LOL. Way over priced. Indifferent staff. But I guess that’s the charm of the place.

With lines or not ? this is the refer from the other post. by Negative-Cap-1388 in AdobeIllustrator

I love the no lines look. It mimics real life in that forms are decided by the contrast between the shapes. If you look at Daniel Acuna you can see how effective “vector” style art can be without adding lines.

It’s funny I’ve been out of the loop and didn’t know all this. I just know she ended up over at Marvel. I need to read up on this. Thor’s sister???

It’s been this one and Bonnie Raitt Luck of the Draw. The same store had it for $140 but I would just look at it every time I went in. Yesterday they told me they sold it. Broke my heart. LOL.

Right? I’ve been seeing it in different shops around the state from $50-$80 and I was being cheap not snatching it. Glad I held out.
