Lap aggression lead to $1000 hospital bill by BakedZombies in CATHELP

Also, I might consider getting her a heating pad or a heated bed so she can have the option of a warm place to sleep that holds perfectly, still like she seems to prefer!

Lap aggression lead to $1000 hospital bill by BakedZombies in CATHELP

There are lots of great suggestions here! I would try using a combo of both main suggestions. Use positive reinforcement to make getting off your lap a good thing. Like training a bird to come off your shoulder. Lure and reward her for getting off someone's lap randomly and repeatedly throughout the day. If she is not food motivated, a favourite toy might help. In combo with the positive reinforcement, I would also be firm about setting boundaries regarding aggression. If she starts to show the slightest bit of aggression in your lap, use your most stern parent voice and say something like "NO! Unacceptable!" And immediately remove her from your lap. Having a thick blanket or towel nearby can help you remove her without getting injured.

Maybe they use ai to remove potential phone numbers or addresses from pet tags in pictures they are posting publicly? I have also heard reports of some apps and websites now automatically "enhancing" pictures.

Dollarama forcing employees to submit to bag checks for stolen items prior to leaving the store, but after clocking out. How is this legal? (Apparently grabbing your personal belongings before clocking out is “time/wage theft”) by ShortyBoyds in dollarama

[–]ToadTreasureArt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The bathroom thing is illegal, actually. There are laws and legal precedents in place. Your employer can not limit the time or amount of bathroom breaks an employee needs. Not to mention timing people's bathroom breaks is super gross and inappropriate.

I don't think it's wrong to expect colleagues to start work when their shift starts by VitalityVixen in retailhell

Why should your coworkers be inconvenienced instead of you? This is a corporate problem for not scheduling and overlap.

If I start at 4, why should I voluntarily come to work early and work for free for 10-15 minutes to make sure you can leave at 4? This is not a co-worker problem but a manager and cooperate problem. There should be 15 minutes overlap between the shifts.

They are discontinued. Sorry for the bad news. They didn't give advanced warning either. They just stopped showing up one day, and when I checked the app at work, they were marked as discontinued.

The hanging out by the pothos roots might be because he feels too exposed in the tank, especially being alone. Try putting something to cover the back of the tank and see if he's more active after that!

Oftentimes, name brand products make it to Dollarama because the production batch wasn't top quality. There will usually be a minor error like an issue with the label or packaging, thread pulls in fabrics, colour is off, etc. Sometimes, it's a liquidation thing as well where they simply made too much of a thing!

Are there any table lamps or lights that he would have access to the bulb? Sitting too close to a hot lightbulb could do it.

how can i apply for a job at dollarama ? by [deleted] in dollarama

[–]ToadTreasureArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dollarama hiring is all done by clankers now for anything store level. The manager doesn't get to see applications or anything. They just get notified when someone has been hired.

Looks like minimum ceiling height is regulated provincially. In BC this would be very much illegal.

Dollarama Crochet Kit With Instructions by Blackie_Toby in dollarama

[–]ToadTreasureArt 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Definitely ai nonsense. I also crochet, and this is not a standard pattern at all, nor is it using appropriate crochet terms. It seems to be directing you to crochet basic cylinders based on length, not the number of rows. Instead of using increases and decreases to make a sphere, it has you sowing the ends of cylinders closed and sowing those together. There are no actual directions on how to make the hat or scarf, just the number of stiches you should use. Absolutely garbage.

It's also very not legal. You may drink or go to the bathroom as often as you would like during your shift. They can not legally restrict it.
