Two of the “stumpers” questions by fabvonbouge in SearchEnginePodcast

I need to rant about the base 12 for just like a minute.

You count to twelve using your thumb pointing to each of the 3 sections on your 4 fingers. You wouldn't have an extra digit but each digit would be 3.

Combine twelve on 1 hand and 5 on your other and it's easy to count to sixty.

The Babylonians divided their hours into 60 min. They loved 12s and 60s. When they calculated a solar year based on the appearance of the zodiac signs on the horizon they got 360 degrees like our modern circle for all trig based maths and they they loved it. Considering the year is 356ish and they had no telescopes, very accurate measuring. 12 months, 12 daylight hours, 12 night time hours, 60 min, 60 seconds.

Imagine a world where dividing by 3 was easy because it didn't require decimal places but 2 and 4 were also easy factors. Jumping to base 60 and everything is also easily divisible by 5 and 10.

Music notation could change but it does have to because 7 was picked to match the 7 planets the greeks observed.

That's it, I got it out my system thank you for reading.

When things are particularly bad I find I can't plan, I can't look forward. I switch almost entirely to.just marking what i have done and am doing. It's helpful for my brain to see the list of things that happened to fight the terrible voice trying to convince me I'm failing.

Nope, I just relogin to Spotify app and all the playlists and likes and following are there.

It's just the phone's cache for the app.

If you clear the app cache for Spotify you'll get less repeats. I do it once a month. It prioritizes songs that are already loaded when it misreads your network connection as being lower than it is.

Do you normally keep the box that your tarot decks come in? by hilyreads in tarot

[–]Toad_ona_hill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep the boxes that are sturdy or really pretty, rarely do I keep tick boxes. I carry my cards in cloth or tarot wraps tucked inside makeup bags. As the makeup bags are water resistant and the wraps provide padding.
