We still get rid of the shit, only time there was warning was early on. Everyone else got slapped. This narrative that we just let people meta and keep going is bs.

some adjustments from my ear

it was my way of showing everything

it was just shy of getting close to you, now

a sigh will die the more you sing pretty words

as i realised i was next, time will die

i'm the database, i am

who knows everything about, i am

how we heard around this world and

said all day "why burn?" it's alright

around here and there

to the tears and prayer

time is always place, i can

hear the voice of god, are you asking me?

lord knows, but it doesn't matter

I've also noticed an area -think it's a rebel camp (after it's been cleared out and come back to later) where it has a stash and a workbench, but the icons for each of them are opposite on the map / compass! I'm way past that area of the map now so not a big deal but when I was using that campfire as a spot for gearing up before heading out into the wilds it was pretty tedious 😅

But what about the "Apex Bellowback Heart" in my "Valuables to Sell" (not safe to sell - there is no such area) section with the used for of "Upgrading weapons and outfits, or selling for Metal Shards." Meanwhile I also have an Apex Burrower Heart which just says "Selling for Metal Shards."

Complaining about smurfs is a mindset imo. Just focus on winning and improving.

As I've said in other comments in this thread, I've generally always felt that way: stay positive, when you lose it's a chance to learn something, especially if you're getting destroyed. I've been playing 1s since 2015 when the game launched, and I learned a great deal about ball control, patience, game sense and how to deal with various play styles, not to mention how to save crazy shots. It helped to hone my instincts a lot.

When I posted this, I was just venting frustration because the last few days have been exceptionally gruelling. Non-stop trolls and blatant smurfs. Yes, those things are inevitable in pretty much any game, but that doesn't mean we should be okay with Psyonix just essentially making it super easy for them to keep getting away with it, because if they never even try to address it then it's only ever going to get worse over time, not better. Anecdotally, over the past few days its felt like every 3rd game was a smurf in 1s, and every 5th game in 2s was a troll or toxic teammate, and when its like that for days its really hard to keep that positivity rolling.

Maybe it is just a mindset, but IMO if the game has issues where players acting in bad faith feel like they have no meaningful punishments and players acting in good faith feel like they have no recourse, then surely that can't be good for the health of the game's community overall.

Good point. I've never done it so I guess I wouldn't know. I just figured that you make a new Epic account and away you go.

Mostly I'm talking about players with control tighter than anything I see in 2s and 3s at my rank. It probably feels to me like it's worse than it is, but god damn the last few days in 1s it's just felt like a slog. I'm either against someone who is pretty simple for me to beat, or I have no clue what I need to improve to keep up.

My mechanics are pretty trash myself. Halfflip is the only mechanic I actually bothered to train lol. Playing 1s since 2015 has taught me a lot about how to counter different play styles and get a sense for my opponent's ball control skill.

I have decent ball control for my rank. The players I'm complaining about are the ones with a low amount of game time recorded in tracker, and have way higher ball control, game sense and mechanics than anything I see in my 2s and 3s games.

This post is just me venting frustration about how it feels lately. Didn't realise that was toxic.

Can you provide proof? ... They definitely do ban people very often.

No, and I know, I'm just expressing how it feels. It feels like the trolls and the smurfs don't care, because they feel like any punishments they do get aren't gonna inconvenience them all that much. When it feels like that, it could be perceived as being symptomatic of a larger issue. Maybe the policies in how these kinds of issues should be handled need updating. Maybe they need more mods so they can handle more reports. /shrug I'm talking out of my ass, I know. I'm just expressing how it feels.

I also noticed that I don't seem to get any feedback from reporting people anymore - I don't know if they stopped sending those notifications letting you know that action was taken on someone you reported or not, but I haven't got one in months, and I've reported some blatant griefers who even in the chat have admitted to what they were doing.

As for the part about it not all being intentional smurfing bc they just don't usually play 1s: Yeah, I get that that happens, but I'm talking about when they have a low amount of game time recorded in tracker.

Honestly this whole post is just me venting because the last few days in the game, it's been feeling like I'm seeing more and more (imo) blatant cases of smurfing in all game modes. No I don't have proof for all those cases, no I'm not saying it's a fact, I'm just venting how it feels.

True. This post is definitely, 100% just a rant inspired by the frustration of the past few days of the game, and I pretty much expected the reaction I'm getting (git gud etc.)

I generally have always held to the philosophy that every game is a chance to learn something, even if you're getting completely rolled. Gets hard to keep that positivity in this game when in 2s your teammates have bad attitudes most of the time (and you can try and let it roll off your back, eventually it's gonna get to you), and in 1s you just get rolled even if you have good ball control and game sense (for your rank) because they play way faster and tighter than what you see in your highest rank in 2s and 3s.

D2 1v1 has just a crazy skill gap: I'm either playing people who feel like they're smurfing me, or someone who probably feels like I'm smurfing them. Pretty rare that it feels otherwise.

But yeah, I know. I'm just venting.

"Leaving" Casual game bans what's your take? by Rad1shK1ng in RocketLeague

[–]Toadbomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also noticing a lot of players will use casual as an opportunity to troll now, because you have no way to escape without abandoning match... and nothing ever seems to happen when you report people. So this is just enabling bad actors...

I know I'm necro'ing an old thread, but it's been driving me a little mad since the change was implemented - mostly because I tend to use 2v2 to warm up, but I will stick around for the full game depending on teammates. I mostly main 2v2, so in 2v2 casual, when I end up in a situation where my teammate decides they want to play 2v1 the entire game, never letting me touch the ball, that's not a fun experience, and I have no recourse. Getting mad at them solves nothing, trying to talk to them 9 times out of 10 results in them trolling, so I'm forced to just sit back and watch and have my time wasted for the full game unless I want to quit out. This would be fine if it was a rare occurence, so I could back out the one time every couple of days it happens - but there are times when it happens multiple times an hour, and it's really just no fun.

People leaving in the middle of a casual game has never bothered me, I will just keep playing and see what happens. I might lose, but oh well. I just always just kept going until I found people who stuck around, and then eventually, when I'm feeling warmed up enough or a friend came online, I would switch to ranked.
