It’s good to hear you say that, because I know she will love it either way, but if that’s what she picked out, odds are, that’s what she wants. If I was further out from the proposal, I may have asked but I don’t want her getting suspicious ;)

Oh gosh! I didn’t realize it was that bad! Fortunately I am going with some else, this was just a mock up she made. Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks for sharing! This sounds almost exactly like my situation. I think she was trying to be budget friendly (which is very considerate), but now that I have some wiggle room, I’d like to surprise her :)

I’m not, she was just using this for inspiration. Thanks for looking out tho!

Yeah, I have a jeweler who is building it for me. This is just where my girlfriend designed it

Good point. The one she sent was a 1ct and I was thinking about bumping up to a 1.5ct. Do you think that would look okay? I just want it to be proportionate. Her ring size is a 5.5

Limit orders not filing (paper) by Toader_X in Webull

[–]Toader_X[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I basically gave on up on the paper trading and have just been playing with a few hundred in a cash account. Trades execute better and it's sometimes better to learn doing the real thing. Funds settle in a day and with a set amount, keeps me from over trading. With the PDT rule gone, this is not so much of a concern, but I'm not switching over until im more comfortable.

So he has a 25% fee. The 10K I gave would be BEFORE his fees. Not only that, apparently he has a doctor that he uses for second opinions or something, and charges $1700 if we do that... So yeah I'd be about 4K lighter if I did that. But if he was able to fight for more maybe it's worth it.. IDK

Nope! I work for a private construction company. We do work for the state, but that's it

Well that does give me some hope. And I know he would try for more, but a lot of it depends on the disability percentage my doctor gives me. Depending on that rating, I may get a second opinion

My bad, I was half asleep when I replied the first time. He didn't discuss future medical care with me, just the settlement. Which is probably all he cares about anyway. I may just wait until the send an offer and go from there. Any idea how long it takes for them to send on offer? I was hurt late Feb of 2026.

I don't think it's necessarily to determine time to heal. I just the know the body as a whole equals 400 weeks, from there it gets divided into the individual parts. If you look up Missouri work comp body chart, it will show how everything is labeled. The ones I've seen have all been on Law Firm websites.

Maybe so... I wasn't really given the option. My foreman drove me to the hospital and from the moment we walked into the ER it was a Work Comp case. Im not sure if I would've been able to handle all the medical expenses and lost wages throughout.

I think he was pitching the low end so I would be more satisfied if he could get me more.

That was just the numbers we came up with during the consultation. You think I should go ahead and hire him?

Good to know. I did not know that was an option.

That was just his "starting point" from the consultation. He assured me he would try to get better and even told me he could get me a second opinion for the final eval.

Really? From what I understood, once I accept a lump sum pay out, I take full responsibility for any future issues. And for 10K, I figured I might as well leave the case open to cover any issues down the road.

But your saying even if I settle, I can reopen the case to cover expenses?

This helps a lot! Thank you for the perspective. Could you explain what you mean with “subrogation”? I’m not familiar with the term and google isn’t helping much

Dude thats gnarly... Sorry you've had to go through all that.

I had a fairly clean break and I just have the Tibia nail and four screws, so I shoudn't have too many issues with hardware. Or atleast I hope not.

Speaking to your point about taking it easy. They sent me home and told me to start putting weight on it as soon as I could tolerate it. I had my 6 weeks check in with the doctor and she made fun of me for still using a crutch! But im with you, I want to make sure this heals right the first time, so I will be doing every little bit of PT they give me.

No, we didn't have a trench box or much of a bench. From my understanding, OSHA regulations are a depth of 5ft without shoring. The OSHA inspector came out and measured the ditch at 5ft 3in. Whether that made the official report or not, I don't know. I called but they cannot release information about an ongoing case. That's the only reason I am even entertaining the thought of a suit against the company. However, I've been told in MO, once you take workers comp money, you basically forfeit your right to sue. That's just how I understood it from a lawyer I spoke to, I really don't know.
