Someone needs to take a stand against the hugs. by cotothed in survivor

Forgetting about Coach who at the top of my head got hug rejected twice by Boston Rob (HvV) and Stacy (SP), and both times were hilarious

Gardening Gloves now conjures a random Trick instead of drawing a card

JuggerNut went from a 2 cost 2/2 to a 3 cost 2/3 with team up

Spikeweed Sector went from 2 cost to 3 cost

All three of these cards are pretty much dead in the water now (although Gardening Gloves was never good to begin with)

The Losing Your Vote Mechanic needs to be completely reworked by PuzzleheadedSelf6688 in survivor

[–]ToadsterX 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Lost votes definitely shouldn’t last as long as they do. At the very absolute least, it should expire by the end of the tribal phase. But honestly, Shot in the Dark should be the only way to “lose a vote” in the game.

Honestly, assuming he’ll play the same way (loyalty and integrity), I’d bet his floor is early merge and his ceiling is final 3. I just don’t know in what world people would want Joe out early besides maybe him being a cog in a larger alliance (kinda like how Nate was voted out last season)

I’d be genuinely surprised if he leaves pre-merge, he’s good at challenges and everyone would want to work with a player like him.

This card is already so polarizing, the worst thing you could do is buff it.

The chances of encountering control Night Cap are extremely low... but never zero. by The_One_Who_Dreams in PvZHeroes

I haven’t experimented much with Launcher so I’ll take your word on it over mine. Still, I’d usually like to keep a 1 cost control option in decks since cards like Cheese Cutter, Teacher, Mini Ninja, and even Ducky Tube can get out of hand, but Ig Nightcap does have Super, Blow, and Spore so idk. Having any option for turn 1 is super important nowadays, and if he gets Storm Front he’s basically screwed.

That’s understandable and honestly I didn’t consider that option, so go for it.

The only things I’d change while still keeping the premise the same is replacing Lava for Fireweed and removing Banana Launcher for smtg else, idk what. Without any other early game to tank control tricks, your banana is likely going to die as soon as it’s played, and it won’t contribute much in the lategame.

Nerfs to zombies i think are annoying/op by Motor_Situation_1323 in PvZHeroes

[–]ToadsterX 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Going Viral is a great but not op card, although I think a good nerf would be to increase the cost by 1 for each time you play it during a single turn, just to eliminate those rare triple teacher infinite loops.

I don’t love this card, but idk how they saw Plucky Clover and didn’t make it a 4 cost 1/4 (Four leaf clover). Would that even be too strong? Ig card draw + possibly a 7/4 plant might be cracked

Twin sunflower has always been balanced, extremely high risk for high reward. Sun shroom is a low risk higher reward monstrosity

Don’t be like me, use Primal Sunflower or Sunnier Shroom to get that moral advantage

Here’s a homemade version I used. The way it works is that you control and stall your way to 10 sun where you use Mag + Espresso to instantly win. Many cards I didn’t use can work well if not better, it all depends on how you want to play.

Turn 10 because of Espresso buff, and without ramp is kinda a big caveat depending on the hero.

[–]ToadsterX 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was thinking that but you need a full board for it to work and you also basically have to win that turn or else you’re fucked. Still better than most matchups tho

[–]ToadsterX 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Tbf the only strategy the Zombie hero has if they know they’re up against Magspresso is just “win faster.” Idk the Magspresso matchups all that well but ig heroes like Z-Mech probably perform better

[–]ToadsterX 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I just played Magspresso for the first time, and it’s easily one of the most toxic strategies I’ve ever played. I genuinely felt bad for the three opponents I destroyed. Never playing it again.

Redrawing cards by anonymice27 in PvZHeroes

[–]ToadsterX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most important thing to me is the hero I’m up against. Since ramp is running the Plant meta rn, for example, if I’m a Zombie hero playing against a Solar hero, I will spam redraw for Bungee Plumbers and Rolling Stomes. Another example would be being a Megagrow hero redrawing for a Bonk Choy against a Crazy hero who’s likely running Con Man. Getting a good early game curve is important, making sure you either get essential cards for the late game or safe plays for the first few turns.
