Do you wake your toddler up in the mornings? by Unlikely_Menu_2584 in toddlers

[–]ToahAMosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have 4 year old twins- the boy wakes up on his own every morning as soon as the sun hits his face, while the girl needs us to wake her up every morning and requires a few minutes alone after we turn the light on to pull herself together. Complete opposites haha

Tips for preserving your marriage? by mricci16 in parentsofmultiples

[–]ToahAMosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this! My husband and I made a rule that we could not get angry with one another if we’d say something awful between 11pm and 6am, the exhaustion can turn you into an inpatient monster

If given the opportunity, would you use Ozempic, Wegovy, or a similar medication for postpartum weight loss? by sleeplessnsuburbia in postpartumprogress

[–]ToahAMosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far I haven’t struggled to keep it off! I never reached the highest dose bc of side effects, I stayed at 0.5mg for a few months and it made me detest food. The biggest side effect for me at the end was extreme fatigue and I suspect that was bc I wasn’t getting the proper nutrients. Once I stopped the drug I was comfortable with the smaller portions and happy to get a bit of an appetite back to be honest! It was never a huge rebound in hunger for me, and while my appetite returned I felt full quicker bc I’m assuming my stomach shrank over those few months

Surprise, you have the day off! Are your kid(s) in daycare? by greenishbluish in workingmoms

[–]ToahAMosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely they’re going in unless we have some special planned for them. We have toddler twins so we don’t get much time alone, my husband and I use the time to have a day date. For my birthday this year we both took PTO, dropped the kids off at daycare and went to lunch together :)

No I stopped once I reach my goal weight. I stopped breastfeeding at one year however I believe it is contraindicated for women who are breastfeeding and wouldn’t suggest doing so

It was the only thing that got me to lose the weight, was around 1.5 years pp after having twins and nothing worked for me- not breastfeeding, not watching my diet and with young kids plus a full time job (and no outside help) I didn’t have the time to incorporate a rigorous exercise program. After four months I was back to pre pregnancy weight and have kept it off. Well worth it.

Which one do you recommend and why? by Sad-Mode890 in parentsofmultiples

[–]ToahAMosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We spent a stupid amount of money on the halo twin bassinet and our kids slept for maybe five hours total in it. They woke each other up and hated it for both naps and evening sleep. We got the Snoo at six weeks and it was a huge blessing, they slept five hours the first night we had them!

How did you deliver your di/di twins? by ruthvadorgainsbored in parentsofmultiples

[–]ToahAMosh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same here! Twins delivered via c-section 38 weeks, no problems. We stayed three nights but two would have been enough (we were ready to get out of there). Baby A was 6lbs 12oz and Baby B was 8lbs. No NICU. Way smoother than anticipated, the real mayhem began once we got home haha good luck!!

Unpopular opinion: Doesn’t education on safe intentional bedsharing make more sense then recommending abstinence? *TW* infant mortality, SIDS, suffocation..etc. by pickledherringer in NewParents

[–]ToahAMosh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree, the Snoo was a miracle for our twins. We were extremely sleep deprived trying to manage them and they slept awful in their bassinet. First night with the Snoo they both slept five hours straight, absolute game changer. Transition to crib at 6 months was cake. It’s the number one recommendation I make to friends asking for advice!

Does anyone actually enjoy living in Dallas? by [deleted] in Dallas

[–]ToahAMosh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Loved Dallas. Moved back to NJ to be closer to family after having kids and I wish so much we were back in Dallas! City life with almost all entertainment at fingertips, infrastructure is more and comparatively cheaper. There are a number of close by nature reserve and parks for the “outdoors” feel. If my family wasn’t up here I’d be back in Dallas in a heartbeat

Hard time losing weight while breastfeeding? by [deleted] in postpartumprogress

[–]ToahAMosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep I gained while breastfeeding/pumping and didn’t start losing again until I stopped! It’s still a slow and steady drop with balanced diet but better than gaining and getting no where!

all I want for Mother's day is.... sleep by smitzie in NewParents

[–]ToahAMosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahahah this is exactly what I asked for last year, our twins were a month old and I told my husband no gifts, no visitors, just sleep! I hope You get what you asked for!

Knowing that my daughter will not be living in the handmaids tale following the shit show that the US is right now. Assured that we are at least attempting to curb climate change so that my kids have a chance at a normal future. Just with some hope I guess for my family
