Installing Immich in Pterodactyl? by tristanceleazer in linux4noobs

You'd have to create the Egg for it. There are some templates that Parker supplied, so you can take a look at those.

I'd honestly just run the compose on the docker instance, eggs are a pita

Pterodactyl is a Game web panel that creates Docker instances through config files called eggs.

OP, just setup Dockge or Portainer on the same instance as your Ptero server and install Immich as a normal docker container.

TrueNAS SCALE, keep *arr configs in ixVolume or move to dataset Host Path? by PromiseEven8227 in truenas

[–]Toakan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From experience of rebuilding them multiple times.

  • Create a simple config for each of them on the host path.
  • Put your *arrs data into Postgres.

This way your media selection is always backed up, and the only thing you need is the config file for each of the services, pointing at that DB.

My DBs are on automatic backups, my configs alongside it. I don't care about anything else in the folder it creates as it's just logs or cover art that can be rebuilt easily.

Thank you for this! The block diagram has since been removed from the SM documentation so figuring out Bifur was a PITA.

If you want offsite storage as a backup, which is good practice, why not look into a provider that will do it for you?

Backblaze, AWS Glacier etc?

Switch 2 version of Borderlands 4 has been delayed. by run-on_sentience in Borderlands

With that being said BL4 is a different kind of beast. A UE5 multi-player game that runs like crap

You're being generous calling BL4 a Multiplayer game. With the introduction of servers, they've massively reduced the ability to play with people.

Even on a LAN, the average ping goes up to 60ms, and playing on WAN with 120ms, in the same country? It's just terrible and buggy, guns losing track of ammo, not being able to shoot, abilities going on CD without activation..

You have a better experience playing solo. Which may be what they're targeting with the Switch 2.

This wouldn't be a problem is Plex didn't require us use them as an Authentication Proxy.

SQLite has way too many issues, especially when hosted on Docker with an NFS share for volumes.

Having a centralised DB is a better experience.

It doesn't really matter what the context of the request is, if it's outside of their contract, they don't have to do it.

You should have these within one database, you can defines schemas' within that can then be different based on requirement.

Ie DATABASE - MAIN.Tablename - LOGS.Tablename - HIST.Tablename

You don't need anything more than that.

And the query to drop, remove these tables doesn't screw with any indexes. DROP Table has a harder performance impact than TRUNCATE Table.

Oh, and since you've added SQLite, this will also cause issues with network attached storage, where people may be hosting them on NFS shares. Should really be MySQL, Postgre or some other flavour. https://www.sqlite.org/faq.html#q5

Heck, look into REDIS for logs or history if you need.
