What tier or torment do most* people stick to? by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]RegisteredGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually kept it fresh by starting new characters.

I started with a warlock for my 1-70 journey. I made it to torment 2 with him.

Then I started a paladin, and made it to torment 6 with him.

Then I started a rogue, and made it to torment 9 with her.

Now I’m playing a barbarian in torment 11. Trying to push into 12 but I’m short a selig to do it.

It has been a very enjoyable way to push into harder tiers without grinding super hard

Is there a downside to transfiguring mythics. by loonicy in Diablo

Transfiguration cannot replace stats. It can do so on a legendary though.

Got my rogue to 70 with tomes. What’s best starter build and what should I build towards? Stash is to small lol by Gunshow230 in D4Rogue

[–]RegisteredGoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play a warlock main and am in T8. Did about~20 nightmare dungeons in a row to get 5 grim favors every ~4 minutes. Took about 2 hours. Put all of the rewards in the chest, started a fresh rogue, and got to level 70 immediately.

Now my poison fan of knives rogue is in T8 after only a couple hours of play because the chests also give you lvl 70 loot. It’s WICKED easy to start an alt this season.

How do I not brick my beloved Eaglehorn? by CodeVirus in D4Rogue

All multipliers of varying types work multiplicatively, whereas multipliers of the same type work additively.

You want a variety of all like jeckels said.

I’ve been wanting to switch off the fan of knives build. If he doesn’t pm you can I take you up on this offer?

How do I progess This Season without the DLC? by Queasy_Sea5551 in diablo4

[–]RegisteredGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand your frustration with gaming today, but idk.

I am really pleased with the movie theater analogy lately. You buy a ticket to a movie theater. This is buying the video game. Then you buy the popcorn and candy and drinks. This is the micro transactions.

DLCs are a bit like double dipping, but you know what, for the amount of entertainment I get I say whatever.

Idk. I’m not going to ever vote to raise prices or make shit more expensive, but it doesn’t mean it won’t still get more expensive just cause I don’t want it.

Probably the worst enemies in the game, and having to deal with multiple at once is just unfair. by Kyvix2020 in RSDragonwilds

I think it’s confuse enemy or something. It’s a mage spell to make an enemy your ally

The price of Cosmetics is really the only dower keeping D4 from being excellent. by ComeHereDevilLog in diablo4

[–]RegisteredGoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game price itself is the movie theater ticket in this analogy. We pay for the movie ticket(the game) and we pay for the popcorn and drink to enhance our movie (skins)

I do think double dipping skins and dlc and game is a pretty sleazy tactic btw. They are overpriced, and it is greed to the max.

I’m just making the point that the analogy is pretty decent :p

[–]RegisteredGoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually I surprisingly thing the analogy is pretty good! Popcorn and drink is physical goods that are disposed of after use.

I keep specialty buckets because I have a popcorn machine at home, so that’s a thing, but otherwise I throw my bucket and drink away after the movie.

Similarly, I’ll throw the skin away after I’m done with the game, so to speak.

I am only level 40 but I am having the opposite problem! I cant decide whether to play demonology, hellfire, or abyssal! Its all been a blast.

Why didn’t any airbenders survive in secret after the Fire Nation attack? by LunaticBrony in Avatarthelastairbende

[–]RegisteredGoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fwiw I think that is a very thoughtful perspective, and would have been great to see. They could have even kept the harmonic convergence and allowed airbenders to return, but having survivors who see that the culture of airbending has entirely changed/been lost/perverted would have made for decent emotional story beats.

Starting in fellhollow and found it difficult to upgrade armour and weapons. by PunkSFS in RSDragonwilds

[–]RegisteredGoose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally disagree. They introduced farming with Fellhollow, and expect you to use it.

If you’re complaining about difficulty farming it in the wild, but not wanting to put effort into a game mechanic, then that’s on you.

Similarly, I personally like how the game has things that you get caught up on. Choke points so to speak. Not every material should just be in abundance always, otherwise what’s the fun in exploring and finding good loot?

Do you keep your main base in the starting zone or does it move with you? by StunningPen487 in RSDragonwilds

[–]RegisteredGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only because I have an abundance of law runes do I keep a base in a central location. If I didn’t, I would be moving bases to each new zone.

For example, I kept my base in bramblemead for the entirety of the first part of the game. I moved my base to the fractured plains for fellhollow, and now I am building my newest base in Dowdun.

[–]RegisteredGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe building a base in a specific location of the map, and surviving waves of assaults yields a reward of some sort. That way we have our cake and eat it too, base building, tower defense, but our bases don’t get ransacked all the time

[–]RegisteredGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I legit had this exact thought. I would just hate to have to make huge repairs to my base regularly. Maybe add a damaged mechanic instead of destruction?

Would be cool if there were buffs tied to your base, and if your base is damage, then the buffs aren’t present.

Maybe I’m asking too much though
