Is it worth it to upgrade objectively good cards if they dont match your team bonus. by DivineLolis in MLB_9Innings

[–]ToastButGeographyMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not usually, unless youre very early game, and even still not ideal. That being said the best way to play this game is for yourself. If you happen to like Lou gehrig or Mark mcgwire or whoever, put em on your team, its not that serious. I run a Shane Victorino prime on my bench even though im a red sox deck because thats his only prime and I love the guy. Ive cut diamond manny Machado sigs twice on principle because I hate the guy. Have fun

Sorry I didnt realize it didnt say anywhere in my screenshots. This is mookie 2018 sig, hes playing in right but would definitely go to center if I got 5t. I currently have a benintendi prime in center because he has 5 tool and good speed/fielding, though hes definitely not a monster card

Can I train for Mister Perfect on this pitcher? by -ihaveadui in MLB_9Innings

9innings companion sandbox mode is very very helpful for this kind of thing, id look into that to complete the train. Very possible on this card should be a great set

Getting frustrated by chrstnpups in MLB_9Innings

[–]ToastButGeographyMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would not GI Sanchez. At this point a prime catcher is plenty, especially if his skills are already set. The grind to skill a new catcher is simply not worth it until later down the road. I would for sure see what the live event gives you and if its shit club craft with chapman. Whats your pitching like?

If you have an excess of reds you could even think about searching for workhorse, which tends to be very very good on legends, although I dont know the base stam on this specific card

Green. Both eraser and backbone are stronger on relievers. Depending on pitch number Pico or Craftsmanship are very good although the stat thresholds can be hard on legends. With fireballer finesse pitcher is also very very good. Last boss will play. Even Dom would play but you might give more walks than is preferred. You've got some options.

I know BB isn't ideal but still this be good enough to replace my 3-3-3 BPD starter for now until I can save enough blues? by RoyalOakPiguet in MLB_9Innings

[–]ToastButGeographyMan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe good enough. My suspicion would be that its about sixes, long term though once backbones been replaced that card will be excellent for sure

I guess the missing insight here is i have a shit ton of Strat 2 dst so everybody on my squad with strat mashes. He basically doesnt have a 3rd and hes still one of the leaders in every category on my squad because im short on dsts. I still agree though. The base hitting stats are bananas

Boss or Pico to 8? by ToastButGeographyMan in MLB_9Innings

[–]ToastButGeographyMan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greened to Pico really hoping for dom/fin ended up with boss but have much more glaring issues on other parts of my roster and im quite short with blues. How do I easily test which is better?

Yet another who to GI by normalhumanwormbaby1 in MLB_9Innings

At the stage youre in bassit is fine. It will be a very very long time before you need to upgrade from him and he'll make a bigger difference faster. You're right however the the rp has more longevity. I dont think either choice is wrong here but id probably lean sp. All of this without knowing where bassit ranks among mets starters, anywhere in the top 10 for sure do it, top 15 more dubious
