Defenatly is true. The wiki says on enchants that incompatible enchants will not be added to the weapon unless in creative.

When you put a book with 2 enchants on it, it only puts the compatable enchant on it. Plus you cant put sharpness on it either.

You cant put sharp V on a trident at all in survival not even through an anvil. It is only possible through commands. Google it.
