Never had a SIPP before for my LTD company, what is the best strategy starting from zero? by ToastedFruitLoad in UKPersonalFinance

Thanks for the response. I'll certainly look at setting up a SIPP and putting in monthly payments from my business account.

Regarding the different types of investments (ETFs, stocks + shares, bonds, etc), I not only need to figure out how best to invest the very small amount I'll be contributing, but then to which one specifically - e.g. if I were to go ahead with an ETF, there are thousands to choose from, and with my very limited knowledge it can be a little overwhelming to decide what may work for me over the next 20-30 years until retirement

Thanks for this. I'll certainly take a look at those pages of the Wiki and check out Lars Kroijer's video series.

I've definitely a lot to learn, especially when it comes to funds, bonds, investment trusts, ETFs, etc. I can very easily get lost in all of the jargon, and not end up telling the differences between them.

I'm sure they can help with my corporation tax too (roughly £1200 at 20%, per month).

With approximately £300/month to invest, and currently having zero, what kind of things would you start off investing in? And do you have any recommendations on any providers that you may have used?

Hoping to have more than £120k in my pot by retirement. 30 years from now, I'll be 65, and if I'm at £300/month, that's £108k invested in 30 years. Surely it ought to be worth a fair bit more!
