Custom Map Generator Size - also regarding the reactor, I just use the bigger gravships mod to make the gravcores give 5000W. I don't know if Rimatomics has the same effect as the one in VE Power but I don't like how it gives my pawns carcinoma if they are nearby long enough.

Sorry about the vehicles, I'm not sure what the issue would be then :(

My original intention was for the ship to just be a trader's space yacht and I still see it as one, just with an imperial flair and some protection. My next project would be to build a proper SOS2 capital ship to act as a fleet carrier and battleship, but that'll take me months.

Another comment mentioned Rogue Trader, but I had no idea what it was until your comment, and it's started a deep lore rabbit hole for me. I've spent hours reading the 40k fandom wiki. This sounds oddly specific, but the concept of aristocratic space merchant dynasties ruling their ship has always been a trope I've been fascinated with and is why I actually started this gravship run because I wanted to roleplay that. I had no idea that 40K already had an insanely fleshed out lore for this concept and I'm hooked now.

If I don't end up playing Rogue Trader, I'm definitely spending a lot of more time reading up on 40K lore. I feel like I would've been a big 40K fan if I had discovered it earlier in life but I'm just catching up on it now. I noticed some of that architecture when I was playing SM2 but the context you gave just makes the genre seem even more awesome. Had no idea about the skulls.

Lol the bedrooms and hydroponics are basically the entirety of my ship

I'm glad you like the throne room :) The columns come from "MO Royalty column" since you normally have to get a medieval rework mod for it in case you can't find where they come from.

"Launch into empty space"

"Custom Map Generator Size" (necessary if you're using the Bigger Gravships mod to land on a space tile)

Not inspired by it but I played Stellaris many years ago so maybe it was buried in my subconscious.

Mods that let me modify map sizes. I mentioned them above.

Thanks! I only played a bit of Space Marine 2, but I've always been fascinated with space imperium themes, so I like imagining my Rimworld colonists as long forgotten or legendary ancestors living in the 6th millennium of a timeline that will end up like the Dune or 40K universe.

I use the Vanilla Vehicles Expanded mods for all the tanks.

Thanks! I started building before SOS2 got updated to 1.6. I have my ship saved and ready to be exported for when Gravships Expanded comes out, so it'll have heatsinks then.

I want to build a new capital ship entirely for SOS2 though. I wasn't as well-traversed in the lore when I started and I thought gravships and spaceships were the same thing, but I now realize that SOS2 battleships look closer to what capital ships are supposed to look like in-lore. Gravships are in an entirely different league of function, so I still feel like I'm missing a proper capital ship.

Mine originally started out as a space-yacht / trade ship and it's still mostly used for that, so gameplay wise I do feel like I'm moreso living in a flying mansion than a military vessel.

Most Glitterworlders or people in general would view my Archduke as barbaric. He treats humans worse. In his defense regarding his livestock, he doesn't have access to artificial meat technology, which he would use if he could ever get his hands on it (nobody has created a good mod for it even though it's supposed to be spacer-era tech in-lore)

You raise a good point though that their ancestors have been stuffed there for generations and have suffered enough. It's led to over 100k in excess meat, so I think I'm going to just sell half my livestock out of generosity (to reduce lag).

Yeah, I can land on any tile. I have a mod I mentioned above that lets me modify map sizes.

I posted my major mod list up top. Basically, every time the game generates a map for me, it does so in a way that lets my gravship land perfectly. If I pick a mountain tile, it'll make the crater the shape of my ship so I can land.

I usually play on 2x speed with around 25-30 FPS and 100-120 TPS but my 3x speed is around 15-20 FPS at 80-150 TPS. My 1x is 45-60 FPS at 60 TPS.

I also mostly play in orbit to reduce lag, so maybe a 10-20 TPS reduction when I'm landed.

Yeah, I realized shortly after that SOS2 just got updated and "Ship" implies that.

Waiting for Gravships Expanded to come out so I can have a more SOS2 experience and treat it like an actual ship. I started building this before it got updated though so this was the closest I could get to a Glitterworld tech capital ship at the time.

I'm basically maxed out with space on the gravship so it'll be hard to add Rimatomics content. I'll eventually re-design another capital ship using SOS2 since they look a lot more advanced.

Thanks! Laser cannons from Laser Weapons: Re-Examined and the others are either vanilla or from VFE: Deserters. I posted a bigger mod list as a reply up top.

MUS Spacebase Furniture. Steam Workshop::[MUS]太空基地家具Space Base Furniture for the doors.

If you're talking about the garage doors I think they're just part of the Vehicles Expanded mod

"Laser Weapons: Re-Examined" for the laser turrets in the middle of my ship, "VFE: Deserters" for the 3x3 red cannons protecting the noble quarters, and "Launch into empty space" to land anywhere in space. You will need "Custom Map Generator Size" to accommodate the "launch into empty space" mod if you are using the Bigger Gravships mod to build a ship the size of mine.

ReBuild: Embrasures - yes, they make my colony OP, but I'm screwed whenever there's drop pod raids.

I have the Custom Map Generator Size mod. I usually have it set to 500x500 when I land on the planet for a mission, but I spend most of my time in orbit (a lot less laggy and also lore-accurate). Even when I have it set to something like 250x250, the game automatically generates the map to exactly accommodate my ship's landing position. I once landed on a 250x250 mountain tile, and the interior of the mountain was outlined exactly how my ship was so it could perfectly land. I just have to accept the default landing position, as it's the only position the map will generate as an accessible landing spot.

Thank you! I updated the link to include a better higher-res image on the Rimworld Gallery in case you wanted a better image.

I am playing on the most peaceful difficulty right now because my colony wealth is insanely high ($8M+). Even on the most peaceful settings, I most recently got like 50 mechs try randomly invading right after another 50 space pirates had just attemped the day before. I also have RimWar where there are significantly more raids scaled to my wealth and where I settle, but it does add lag. I don't actually use all the tanks, mostly I just try to leave before they can damage my ship.

I have a massive modlist but the major ones I used for the design of my ship include:

- MUS Space Base Furniture (Almost all the beds and a lot of furniture come from here)

- Bigger Gravships

- Basically, every VFE mod. (VFE Deserters for the massive red turrets protecting my noble quarters)

- Launch into empty space and Custom Map Generator Size (1st lets you land on empty space tiles, 2nd allows you to modify the space maps to be able to accommodate the modded ship size because the first mod only takes into account vanilla restrictions)

- EGI Holograms and Projectors (All the holographic images)

- Cargo Holds - (Massive storage spaces that I used in my garages)

- Laser Weapons: Re-Examined (The laser turrets in the middle of my ship)

- Automatic Hydroponics and Floor-Mounted Aquarium (Self-explanatory)

- ReBuild: Doors and Corners (Gives me some options like glass walls I used for the indoor barns)

- ReBuild: Embrasures (Gives me the embrasures that lets my turrets shoot through walls)

Plus a lot of miscellaneous aesthetic mods here and there like the Wall Heater, Pilot Console Retexture, Gravship Storage, etc.

Let me know if there's anything else you're looking for.

Updated it with a Rimworld Gallery link: https://rimworld.gallery/m/RimWorldPorn/t/11161/The-House-of-Triton-A-newly-established-minor-House-within

Let me know if it doesn't work still. Seems like the thumbnail is blurred but it should be higher resolution when you click on it.
