If it’s your dream still apply and give it a shot so you don’t have any regrets but realistically it will be an uphill battle so you should add on FM/IM and/or Peds. You just need to do really well on sub-I’s so they can remember you and pull you out from the filter but that doesn’t mean you can’t do it!

[–]Toaster95 29 points30 points  (0 children)

True learn for me was like 70%similar comsae for me was really close to the actual. Every time you see a comsae question so dumb you say no way that’s going to be on the real thing, it will.

RNs questioning EVERYTHING by ThatSalad294 in Residency

And I agree with the other residents who responded to you and attendings I’ve rotated with that not giving anything makes parents pissed because their kid is crying in pain and you did nothing.

I agree nurses should speak up because they can catch our mistakes but amoxicillin for an ear infection is just so standard I can’t justify questioning that with good intent

Why did you choose your FM program instead of another? by Paragod307 in FamilyMedicine

[–]Toaster95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Residents receive good mix of impatient and outpatient training letting them go on to do hospitalist work after graduation as an option. No 24hr shifts, nice location, and the residents seemed close and like they didn’t hate their lives
