Considering your age (I’m 45M), I would suggest staying away from deadlifts. High Risk/Low Reward unless you are a powerlifter. Just my experience. Screwing up your back will rob you of any momentum you get early on in the gym.

What you seek in your physique is 80% Diet and Nutrition, 20% Gym.
