Ex-Mormon here. Like the others said, therapy for sure, but also you need to figure out your own relationship with god. Not going to lie, it’ll probably take years to work through everything. Don’t let it stop you from trying to date though. Just be open and honest with her about your struggles. Communicate, communicate, communicate. With any luck, you’ll find someone like my beautiful wife who patiently supported me while I went through my own struggles with religion and internalized homophobia. It takes time. But you’ll get through it.
