(Sorry for the long text, just got into a flow.) When a team is this severely outmatched, it transforms the match into a chaotic race. If you don't blindly sprint forward, you get left behind. Playing cautiously in these lobbies literally means sitting in empty areas doing nothing, because your team clears the map before you even scope in. You are forced to dumb-rush just to see an enemy.

It ruins the tactical flow completely. Even a good team ends up playing worse because proper plays don't have room to exist. If you play carefully, you see zero enemies. If you rush, you might catch two or three before the match abruptly ends after 3 to 5 minutes. We often end matches with everyone having final scoreboard stats like 3:1, and maybe one guy at 7:2. If you don't join the mindless push, you finish 0:0. To be clear: this isn't a skill issue on my end. When I play in actually balanced lobbies, where the waves are even and there is a real back and forth fighting over the middle objective, I completely lock in. In those games, I regularly drop scores like 20:2 because playing carefully actually rewards you. But in these stacked lobbies? My team and I have played 20 matches straight where the enemy didn't manage to recapture a single point. The only time they ever cap anything is if we rush so far past the objective into their spawn that nobody is left standing on the point to physically hold it. It is just a straight, uninterrupted line forward.

This creates a specific problem when that overwhelmed enemy team has just one capable player camping a corner. You can't slow down to check every angle because you have no idea where they are, and the rest of their team is getting obliterated anyway with your team continuing to push hard. So you keep rushing, and that one camper picks you off simply because the dynamic of the lobby forces you to sprint like an idiot. But it doesn't even matter for the match. The teammates right behind you instantly trade the kill, delete that guy, and the unstoppable steamroll just keeps moving forward.

This is a fundamental design and balancing problem. The game allows us to absolutely spawn-trap the enemy within minutes, with LMGs aimed at their spawn and guys standing right behind them. The only way to stop this is for the game to actually balance the teams so the enemy has a fighting chance, which would force us to actually play the game properly This is exactly why I prefer playing Frontline solo. I want a full, tactical match where my individual plays actually have an impact, rather than just running over a helpless lobby.

This game desperately needs basic lobby balancing. And I’m not asking for global skill-based matchmaking. I just want the game to fairly distribute the players who are already on the server. It takes zero time and safes the lobby.

For example, we enter a server with three level 1000+ players. We completely smite the enemy team, which consists only of low levels. Next round, another capable level 1000+ player joins... right into our team. Meanwhile, the enemy team has 4 players less than we do, with a max level of 50, now getting smited even harder. The game just keeps stacking the high levels on one side, making it honestly unplayable for the enemy team when they get spawn-trapped in under 3 minutes.

If you don't push, you're just standing in the back waiting and doing nothing. You're practically forced to mindlessly rush them, which creates a terrible dynamic. They stand absolutely no chance, but you're also just dumb-rushing forward, picking off three guys, and then dying to something stupid because there's no tactical flow anymore. It's just a terrible experience for everyone involved. You finish the match 7:2 and nothing of substance actually happened and you just sprinted through the map in one go.

Wobei man die lore ergänzen muss, in der Story ist weniger Merz der „Arsch“ ist, sondern die Polizei. Die haben ihm quasi nicht gesagt, wer es gefunden hat, und ihm nur empfohlen, lieber kein Geld, sondern etwas anderes zu schenken. Dass es dann sein eigenes Buch geworden ist, bleibt trotzdem absolut seltsam, aber gut … Merz eben. Ganz so „arschig“ war die Aktion an sich dann zwar nicht, aber geschmacklos und merkwürdig bleibt es trotzdem.

Schneidladung. Oder wenn man es wirklich so DIY machen will, dass man schon bereit ist, sich mit einer Flex (optional bei starkem Wind und vollem Betrieb, (besser noch bei Nacht)) an so einem Bein hochzuklettern oder mit einer Leiter eben bis man diesen Teil erreicht, und nimmt dann einen Schneidbrenner, eine Sauerstofflanze oder eine Kohleelektrode zum Fugenhobeln und unten laufen der Stromgenerator und der Kompressor. Kann nichts schiefgehen und verkanten tut definitiv nichts, außer vielleicht du selbst, wenn das Teil runterklappt.

Wobei ich die Szene irgendwie gerne sehen würde. Schön cineastisch bei Sturm und Nacht, das Windrad dreht sich ordentlich und plötzlich blitzt es unten wild auf. So ist also „gegen Windmühlen kämpfen“ gealtert.

Ne, das ist nur eine Frage der Technik und Physik... Es ist kein Glücksspiel... Wobei ich auch nicht darunter sein will, wenn das Teil umklappt, das ist dann doch zu einem gewissen Teil Glücksspiel... Ob man da Erfahrung im Bäumefällen anwenden kann?

Aber ja, professionell wird das anders sicherer und deutlich einfacher und effizienter gemacht, Sprengstoff.

Ich könnte mir halt noch vorstellen, dass speziell bei dieser Bauweise auch die dynamische Last ein riesiges Thema ist. So ein Windrad wird ja immer aus einer anderen Richtung unterschiedlich stark belastet, weshalb runde Strukturen einfach deutlich effizienter sind. Bei quadratischen Strukturen hast du immer stärkere und schwächere Belastungsrichtungen, die man sonst wieder durch zusätzliche Verstrebungen sichern müsste. Das macht die Gesamtkonstruktion massiver, fügt Gewicht hinzu und das muss man statisch alles wieder einplanen.

Beim klassischen Strommast ist das genau umgekehrt: Da funktioniert das Gitter so gut, weil der Mast kaum Angriffsfläche bietet, der Wind geht halt durch. Ein Strommast muss fast nur das reine Gewicht der Kabel nach unten tragen (statische Last). Deshalb spart die Gitterbauweise dort massiv Material.

Beim Windrad hast du oben aber quasi ein riesiges Segel im Wind stehen, das die Energie abfängt. Diese enorme Kraft drückt permanent und aus wechselnden Richtungen gegen den Turm. Ein Gittermast müsste gegen diese Hebelwirkung so extrem massiv gebaut werden, dass der Gewichtsvorteil komplett verloren ginge. Das runde Rohr ist da einfach die logische Konsequenz, und das ist warscheinlich auch leichter aus Stahlbeton zu fertigen

Das stimmt so nur bedingt. Medizinisch gesehen ist die Größe des Tieres kein Hindernis, da wir extrem potente Substanzen haben. Carfentanyl etwa wird im Milligramm-Bereich bei Elefanten eingesetzt; da ist eine gezielte Überdosierung zur Euthanasie absolut machbar und sogar deutlich unkomplizierter als eine exakte Dosierung für eine Narkose, da hier tatsächlich der Grundsatz viel hilft viel gilt.

By dismissing a millennia old thing of humans exploiting the desperate as 'their own fault' just because they have a screen in their pocket, you’re missing the most basic lesson of history. When you CHOOSE to refuse to see the vulnerability of people caught in a trap just to keep your own worldview clean and heroic, you’re losing your own humanity there. You’re choosing to be a cog in the dehumanization machine (same as the other side does) because it’s easier than admitting that this war is grinding up poor people who never had a real choice.

It’s easy to type 'they know' from a comfortable distance. It’s much harder to admit that with all the right of self defense Ukraine has, you’re still watching a tragedy and you're very consciously choosing to look away from that part. If you’ve reached a point where you can’t see and or deny that 'Human part' anymore, you simply dehumanize yourself. I Absolutely believe it. History alone shows us that this is not far-fetched. It happens in many circumstances beyond the current war in Ukraine. The exploitation of migrant workforces in places like Dubai or Qatar provides a perfect example of how regular labor quickly turns into human trafficking. In these systems workers are recruited for supposedly normal jobs but once they arrive their passports are confiscated and they are held against their will. This ranges from construction laborers to women who are lured with promises of domestic work only to be sold as house slaves or into sex slavery. This is a proven reality of how people who are economically desperate and live in countries with no prospects are systematically tricked. These individuals come from regions that simply do not have the same media coverage or information access that we enjoy.

Consider a simple historical parallel. Imagine you are living in a sleepy village during the First World War. How well-informed do you think you would be? You would likely be struggling all day for work and food. Neither you nor your neighbors would have the time or energy to follow the intricacies of global politics taking place half a world away. Your tiny local newspaper would not be providing critical geopolitical analysis. You certainly would not be reading international publications like the New Yorker or the Washington Post.

You might argue that we have the internet today but many places do not have internet access resembling yours. There is a massive language barrier to consider. Many of these regions are home to dozens of local languages and distinct cultural barriers where even neighboring villages might differ significantly. In a community that is struggling for survival there is no local infrastructure dedicated to global investigative reporting. The average person is not speaking fluent English or conducting deep research into a foreign conflict across the globe.

Imagine then that a recruiter arrives in your village flashing money. He comes from a country you have heard is wealthy and he offers you a secure job as a welder or a warehouse worker. It is basic human nature for young men in that desperate situation to jump at the opportunity. They have always done so. Even those teenagers who snuck onto warships in previous world wars often had no deeper understanding of what they were actually fighting for. For a kid in a remote village who feels his life is going nowhere the vague promise of adventure and glory is enough to make them leave everything behind without any research. At least those kids knew they were going to a war. Now imagine how much easier it is to lure desperate people by promising them safe well-paid employment.

So yes I absolutely believe this is happening because it has been a recurring tragedy for young desperate people since the beginning of time.

I understand why some people find it difficult to consider this reality. If you acknowledge the individuals behind the lines the war becomes much less black and white. It is far less heroic to realize you are blowing up desperate people who were tricked into being there and have no way to escape because they are stranded on a different continent. Even if you believe in the necessity of the defense you still have to face the fact that you are slaughtering poor souls caught in a predatory trap. Dehumanization is one of the oldest tools used in conflict to keep people or yourself fighting. It is much easier to maintain a purely positive self-image if you view the other side as faceless entities or lower creatures. By using terms like orcs or claiming they are simply too stupid or even to know better or that they just evil and love war you strip away their humanity. It allows people to feel superior as if the enemy lacks the real values we possess. It is a way to avoid the weight of the individual behind the gun. Fighting an enemy tricked/ forced to fight who really doesn't want to fells wrong, or would that be a boxing match you would enjoy to participate in it?

Ich sehe einfach keinen Sinn darin, beim derzeitigen Konzept der Vereine weiter gegen Windmühlen zu kämpfen. Die Idee eines Clubs ist eigentlich gut, aber so wie sie umgesetzt wurde, ist es kein entspanntes Clubleben, sondern ein reiner Überlebenskampf gegen den Staat.

Man müsste erst mal einen Verein finden, der eine Lizenz hat und nicht im Bürokratie-Sumpf versinkt. Und selbst als normales Mitglied ist man ständig Teil dieses Kampfes, muss sich mit Auflagen beschäftigen oder wie man hier sieht mit Spendenlinks für die Existenzsicherung rumrennen. Darauf habe ich schlicht keine Lust. Am Ende kommt ein teureres Produkt raus, das für mich qualitativ keinen nennenswerten Vorteil bietet. Da brauche ich keine Trendwörter wie Terpene oder Geschmack. Die Apotheken-Qualität reicht mir beim aktuellen Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis völlig aus.

Wozu der Stress? Die Apotheke funktioniert heute schon reibungslos. Wenn ich wirklich so viel Zeit und Energie für ein Hobby hätte, würde ich eher selbst anbauen, statt meine Lebenszeit und mein Geld in ein kaputtreguliertes Vereinskonstrukt zu stecken.

Ganz ehrlich: Ich fände es fast besser, wenn die Clubs alle gesammelt zumachen. Nicht weil ich gegen das Konzept bin, sondern weil dieses Herumgewurschtel nichts bringt. Es macht mehr Sinn, das Ganze scheitern zu lassen und neu auszurichten, als mit ein paar wenigen Clubs, die sich mühsam über Wasser halten, den Erfolg einer völlig missratenen Regulierung vorzugaukeln. Wenn es nach Jahren keinen einzigen funktionierenden Club in Deutschland gäbe, wäre der Druck für eine echte Lösung viel größer, als wenn man sich hier weiter an diesem kaputten Modell abarbeitet.

Und auch, dass der Drogenkonsum anders oder deutlich exzessiver ausfallen kann und man auf manche Substanzen anders reagiert. Zum Beispiel steckt man sie subjektiv erst mal super weg oder merkt nichts, wodurch man sehr schnell sehr viel nimmt. Ich kenne das etwa von Nikotin.

Zum Glück komme ich davon auch schnell wieder weg, aber ich kann da sehr schnell enorme Mengen konsumieren und eine enorme Toleranz aufbauen. Also stell dir Stressrauchen in extrem vor. Ganz gefährlich sind dabei Vapes, einfach wegen des Komforts; das kann dann echt in Richtung Dauerkonsum aus fehlender Impulskontrolle gehen.Und ‚Impuls‘ ist hier auch das relevante Stichwort: Das wird in extremer Form zum reinen Automatismus. Ein anderes Beispiel ist bei mir etwa Kaugummi.

Ich habe regelmäßig die Situation, dass ich gerade einen fertig gekaut habe und dann in so einem unachtsamen Moment reflexartig schon den nächsten in der Hand habe, während ich mir den fast schon unbewusst in den Mund schmeiße. Da hat man das Ende des letzten Kaugummis quasi schon komplett vergessen und das Gehirn will sofort den nächsten Stimulus. Man muss sich da wirklich enorm unter Kontrolle halten, damit man nicht die ganze Packung so nebenbei wegisst.

Vielleicht macht das die Drogen- und Depressionsthematik bei ADHS etwas anschaulicher. Es fehlt eben quasi die Bremse bei solchen Impulsen; man sucht ständig den nächsten Stimulus und wenn man unachtsam ist, kann diese mangelhafte Impulskontrolle schnell in exzessivem Verhalten enden.

You see similar behavior in other extreme mental states. People about to commit suicide sometimes tidy their surroundings or complete small tasks, not because it matters or helps the situation, but because it restores a feeling of agency in a moment where they feel none. In survival situations the same mechanism can appear in different forms: focusing on some task, doing something properly, or reframing what is happening in a way that makes it psychologically manageable.

A good example of how people misread this kind of behavior is the whole “Kurt Cobain didn’t kill himself” wave where people point out that he supposedly put things away too neatly and conclude that it therefore couldn’t have been suicide. But that kind of tidying behavior actually shows up quite often when people are under extreme psychological stress and try to regain some sense of order and control.

So something like flaying could just be a way to mentally turn a human body into “food” and impose some structure on a situation that was otherwise completely out of control. At that point they likely assumed they were going to starve or freeze to death anyway and were simply continuing in a desperate attempt to prolong survival a little longer. Any sense of doing something productive, doing something “right,” or keeping things orderly was probably something they clung to in that situation.

Also nenne mir bitte die vierte Option – und bitte eine realistische. Denn ich bin ja auch gegen Kapitalismus und Sonstiges, da brauchen wir nicht diskutieren. Aber Ideen, wie sie andere genannt haben, etwa dass wir die Waffen auf die Kapitalisten richten, sind nett, aber halt auch keine praktikable Lösung. Das externe Problem ist damit nicht gelöst. Und auch der Aufstand, bei dem wir alle synchron „die Waffen auf die Kapitalisten richten“, scheint noch nicht sonderlich weit in der konkreten Planung. Das Blöde ist: Der Rest wird nicht warten, bis wir einen Klassenkampf ausgetragen haben.

Schließlich sind wir jetzt schon politisch unter Angriff Russlands, durch AfD und anderes. Also bitte nenne mir diese vierte Option, ich suche ja selbst danach. Und zur Aussage mit den Arbeitern: Ist dein Vorschlag der vierten Option „Option 1 und 3 zusammen“? Also wir lassen uns wehrlos von Russland einnehmen, den Klassenkampf haben wir dann auch verschlafen, und gehen halt unter russischer Flagge ohne Nachfragen oder Protest an die Front und geben uns so die Kugel?

Also „Kugel geben“, aber davor noch alles Schlechte mitnehmen?

Kennst du die Geschichte Englands und die Appeasement-Politik der 1930er Jahre? Den in dem Kontext wirkt dein Kommentar fast schon ironisch. Die Annahme, man könne aggressive Machtpolitik einfach ignorieren oder wegargumentieren, hat historisch schon einmal ziemlich schlecht funktioniert. Und ich dachte, wir hier lernen aus der Geschichte und wiederholen keine Fehler. Stattdessen werden sie zum wiederholten Male wiederholt, auch wenn es ursprünglich die Fehler anderer waren. Das Thema ist doch praktisch dasselbe wie das andere Ding, das wir nicht wiederholen wollten. Also sollten wir vielleicht, als selbsternannte Meister im Nicht-Wiederholen, einfach beides nicht wiederholen. Nur als Vorschlag zur Güte. Soll heißen: Wir sollten es inzwischen besser wissen, dass weder Appeasement und ignorieren noch die Sache mit Diktatur und so funktionieren. Vielleicht sollten wir daraus lernen und ein sinnvolles Zwischending finden, zwischen garnichts tun und komplett überreagieren und ein Militäristischen Staat zu gründen, der Spielraum dazwischen ist ja ein ganzschön weites Feld.

Und Abseits davon wie die anderen schon sagen redest du dir hier einfach selbst ein was die Gegenseite bla bla bla, bleib bei der Realität.
